Rust or what?

Hello, my scooter is sitting in the garage for most of the time, getting used for a few short trips to town running errands. Its got less than 600 miles on the clock! Yesterday I took it out for a run into town and noticed this rust on it! Did you guys have the same on your bikes? Is that really rust? I could wipe it off with my fingers but it had a "rusty" consistency to it.

It's just Oxidized Aluminum, just wipe and go...
Try some oven cleaner or similar, and see if that keeps it from coming back so soon.

Leave it long enough and it looks like sand cast then leave it longer still and the dust from the brakes makes it looks like a proper matt black finish.

Ok, I understand it is nothing to worry about, then. Just looks rubbish but can be wiped off.

Thank you!

Is your garage really damp or did you put the bike away without washing the salt off?

Does ACF50 keep this at bay?

It should do. Keep it away from the tyre though
