Was doing my regular maintenance check this afternoon; the usual engine oil level, air filter, coolant level, brakes, fluids, spark plug, tire pressure check, etc..
looking at my plug, it seems to be getting too lean AF mixture, no?

I know the PCX is EFI so there is nothing I can do on my own to adjust the A/F mixture..
Have you guys checked your plugs lately? How was it? Should I be concerned about this?

Remember that the onboard computer will adjust itself according to the type of riding you do and the quality of the gas. Therefore, your spark plug may look different than that of someone in say the United States or the UK, where gas often As may be different. If it runs, don't worry about it.

Thanks Mel46, Jge64
I started riding in the 90's where plug reading is a big deal in carb tuning.
I guess I'll just have to trust the computer on this one then..
With that said, do you guys change your plugs based on interval stated in the manual? Or you just keep a spare and wait for it to die?
Mine's 2 years old and 28000 kms, haven't changed the spark plug yet. Seems to be running okay, quick start too.

I just checked my sparkplug for the first time. It's 3+ yrs old and has ~14k km on it. It had more black on it than yours shows, but it was also a little wide for gap. I regapped it down a bit and reinstalled it. I was planning to change mine around 16k km, but I'd be interested to hear what others have to say about replacement intervals.
