I was riding on the interstate, bike jolted forward and started decelerating so I pulled over quickly. Look down as I had just changed the oil, and it’s draining out underneath!
This has happened before after going too long without an oil change- replaced piston for about 1500$ through the shop.
I have checked fuses, no fault codes, battery seems fine, and it turns over so doesn’t seem as if piston is seized. I’m hoping that as the oil was about half drained when it stopped running that it was still oiled enough to not destroy my piston.
Any other suggestions?

Wow - you were riding at interstate speed on your PCX and it “jolted forward”! Seriously, I don’t know what mechanically would cause that.

I'm gonna guess:
A) the piston is no longer connected to the crank
B) there's a giant hole in the side of the cylinder

Either way, check for compression.

Oil should not leak nor cause any grief if not changed well over the limit - with exception of the 1st change as there might be little bits of metal but they should be caught by the oils screen. Leaks, if from the drain bolt, are due to faulty crush washer / bolt fixing not lack of oil change. Was the oil leaking from the drain bolt or other part of the casing?

How does this happen "before" on a 2018 with warranty, and you were still charged 1500 bucks?

I would now let a tech work on your bike , as you seem to be doing more damage than maintenance.....
