The Genuine Scooter Company, founded in Chicago, IL, especially known for the "Buddy 125", is now presenting a new product to their lineup. . .the Genuine G400C. The popular Buddy and Roughhouse scooters were manufactured by PGO of Taiwan for Genuine. From what I've read so far it appears that the G400C is produced by the Shineray Motorcycle Company. . . a Chinese mainland producer.
The G400C is very "Hondaesque" if you will . . . borrowing from the old GB series thumpers perhaps? But at the end of the day if it looks like a bike and sounds like a bike . . well . . . it's a bike.
All are now fully Euro4 compliant with disc brakes front and rear featuring ABS by Bosch.

Roger that. I had a 2 stroke Stella that ran well after rejetting to richen it - very fun to ride but I sold it because I was nearing the mileage at which they were known to sieze w/o warning while at speed. Something to think about as you’re riding along at 50 mph with oncoming traffic.
The seizures were not due to insufficient 2 stroke oil or fuel mix - rather incorrect crankshaft shimming. Not all were effected but not worth the risk because there was no way to tell if your scoot was one of those with the issue or not. But it was great fun to ride.

When they released the new improved Stella a few years ago (a 125cc 4-stroke) they had electrical problems with the ECU right out of the chute and had to announce a recall. They just didn't sell after that but I think there were a lot of people hoping (me being one of them) that the new Stellas would have better electronic components and generally be more reliable. Kind of sad really. . .. Riding on one could be like time tripping back into the '70s. Something about that wasp design of the old Vespa P200 that was iconic. Genuine discontinued importing the LML made Stellas subsequently.
That said I did get a 2015 Roughhouse and basically ran it for 5K miles and traded it in with my PCX when I bought the Zuma. The compression wasn't like new from what I was told and it needed a rebuild. It did start and run OK but took longer to get up to speed when it warmed up. I did run it WOT most of the time. Always made sure the oil tank was filled too and thought it would go 10K miles before needing a new rebuild kit.

The Shineray 400 is also marketed in various versions as Mash and Herald in Europe.
Engine is a copy of the Honda XBR/GB/TT motor.
