Bolt sizes

Post by PCX2016 »

Can anyone let me know some sizes of a few bolts? I was trying to get a 2016 maintenance manual PM'd to me and I got this comment and my thread locked.

"In the United States many of us have purchased ours from here: http://helminc.com
You can also search Google, check Amazon, Ebay or ....."

I am not in the USA. Moved some months ago. Two months ago I have ordered things and still they are not here. My other order one and a half months and nothing yet. Shipping here sucks. Can anyone help me figure out a few bolt sizes? I need to get tools for this new bike I got.

Just wondering I have seen tons of messages about the service manual being sent. Is there an issue now sending it? I get it people need to make money, but if I order it who knows if I will ever get it..

Can someone help a brother in Cambodia out?

Hmm. Suspecting click bait

Could you be a bit more specific on what bolts you need?

Not sure, how this is click bait. I need the bolt size for:
Replace both brake levers
Oil drain
Oil screen
I need to pull of a panel let will allow me to access a 'hot', acc wire.
Spark plug

You’ll need metric tools. Buy some spanners and a socket set and use the ones that fit the bolts and the spark plug.

Take it from there. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for this. If anyone can give me individual metric sizes. For the aforementioned items I need to service.

No offence, but you can't buy an inexpensive 6 point metric socket set in Cambodia? A mid-size set (3/8" drive in in the US) set for bicycles will be enough for many things unless you get into suspension and wheel stuff. Add some hex drive bits and you are in business. Individual tools will likely cost a fair bit more than an OK quality set.

You would also be well advised to find some plastic trim removal tools to get the plastics off, and watch many, many you-tubes of the process. The various years are a bit different, but there are many common threads. You will learn something from any and all of them.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

but please, don't delete anybody, no matter how badly they deserve deleting :)

Check out Homies “how tos” on this site.

8,10,12 and 13mm spanner’s and sockets along with a hex wrench set will cover a lot of things.

The spark plug has a special socket that will generally be included in any metric socket set.

Hot accessory wire is generally best found next to the ignition switch. I accessed mine by removing the panel above the headlight. I’ve an early model though.

I did a search and did not come up with anything. Is it possible you have a link that you could share? Thanks again

Sorry, tis the rules. You read and saw what you saw but had you read more recent threads, you would have found them locked as well. Don't take it personally.
