The new HD LiveWire looks cool but I am just guessing it will appeal more to rich folks who are city dwellers and don't like to get their hands dirty.

IMHO I think the Harley customers would have been better served if HD just took all the coin they invested in this electric wonder and reduced the prices of their traditional product line that has been the bread and butter of their business.

Hey Harley, how about bringing back a new updated 4-stroke DOT approved version of the "Topper"? Eh? Gotta be made in the U.S.A. though. You want it to be genuine right?

I tried a Zero DX a couple of years ago. It was really great (but quite high. I was on tiptoes at stops. I would rather have tried the regular street bike)! Twist and go, and, boy, did you go. Price is an obvious downside, but the range might be OK. It is a very rare ride where we go over 100 miles.

Most people have trouble coughing up 3k for a scooter. 30k for 2 wheels. I dont see a demand.l

Personally I don't want to ride a "stealthy" bike or scooter. I want noise. It's fun and it's informative to those in ear range. If any animals are listening maybe it will give them a warning or maybe they won't care because they have their own agenda. . .either way I see no practical gain for the environment by having motorcycles and motor scooters electric powered. On the other hand electric powered mobility scooters are fine for the disabled.

I think petrol should be what powers motorcycles and scooters. It's the most realistic fuel source. It doesn't take as much energy to produce the riding machines in the first place either compared to the driving machines.

Let's face it. Cage mobiles are the right platform for all the electric technical advancement in moving from point A to infinity. Not motorcycles and scooters. Frankly, to get right down to it, we would be doing the planet a big favor by switching from a meat based source of protein to a plant base source of protein (locally farmed and purchased) and reduce the level of methane and other noxious gases released into the environment from the whole damn industry. Meat is a luxury and at the end of the day causes diseases depending upon who you listen to. Diabetes and Alzheimer's and Heart Disease and the list goes on can all be attributed to eating animal source food but like the tobacco industry they will defend it with doubt from here to eternity.

Riding a bike or a scooter is an experience and lifestyle . . . not just proclaiming I am a conspicuous consumer and while they scream for food at the gates I say "Let them eat cake".

Motorcycles and scooters are being used as a pawn in my opinion to advance the electric fad at our inconvenience while those SUV driving "bigger is better" fanatics crap up the environment from start to finish. But that's just me.

Let the Land Rover and Ford Expedition and Chevy Suburban consumers deal with the deer strikes and leave us alone.

But that fails to address the bigger picture which is total cost of ownership.
Leccy bikes and scooters much cheaper to run and maintain so over time can work out cheaper despite higher pricetag in the showroom.

Realistically, a Honda PCX has different costs to buy in different countries. Therefore, the cost to manufacture may be much lower, since the profit margin stays about the same. Ownership costs are extremely low as well. So, in the end when they can produce an electric scooter that has low cost to manufacture, low cost to maintain, and has the range that a PCX has, they may have a sellable product.

I respect Jay reviews, afterall the guys got all kinds of rides! Knows his stuff. I watched the W h o l e review.
I listened and listened (afa the bike it says nothing...much. A good thing? Justa high pitch squeal vs HD roar. Expected from an electric. Bit weird).
I waited and heard nothing said about comfort. Position and seating, that's a biggie. Did I miss that?

Not a bad looking bike, but better looking with someone sitting on it. As is the case with other bikes. This one 460lbs nakid. Add yer accessories, glitz and 500 easily. What's the new PCX weigh? 289. My Piaggio MP3 was 472 lbs of bulk (Great Ride though). Was heavy to lift off the ground - Oops!

Jay's right, that bike requires a hidden corded power plug. Really, Why wasn't that thought about 4 yrs ago? Afa Black out light? That's custom stuff. Costly HD custom stuff at that.

Talk became reality. They did it - HD's gone Electric. Take yer earplugs out, hear what's going on around you. That's a safety feature of electric.
Never thought I'd say this, but I kinda like it. The Price? $25,000? Plus. Ouch!!
