Hi all,

It's a bit of a boring post I know....But I just wanted to say I ordered a New Forza 300 in Black. I don't pick it up until a week on Saturday (30th March) but I'm so excited. It needs building up still so I'm guessing on a couple of miles on the clock. This is the first time I've bought a bike from new :-)

My no claims from a couple of years ago is still valid and I went with the first company I phoned (Post office Insurance) for £112 which I'm quite pleased with

I love the look of the old model . They had a 2015 model with 1011 miles on the clock. I was so tempted but it was in white and I prefered the new one in black. I'll post after I pick it up :-).

When I walked in the shop I saw a CBR 650R in matt grey. If I didnt have a messed up back I would have bought that on the spot! Lol I hope I can live with a scooter :-). Im still excited on my first scooter. A million years ago I had a Honda C90 as my first bike which I will never forget as my first ever transport. I so hope the Forza will give me the fun fun factor im hoping for :-)

I picked her up this morning and rode her straight to Beal area where it's quiet with country roads to get used to her handling. I parked up and took my first photo

I've a Samsung Galaxy S4 (I know, I need to upgrade)
I downloaded an App called "Photo and Picture Resizer" - it works great! Resize yer pic (like 50% or...) then find it in your photo gallery under resized photos (or similar name, I always forget the exact name). If you want to double check that your photo actually got resized, just click on the details of that newly resized photo.
All good? Then go ahead and post that pic Deksx, we be waiting

My initial thoughts were how smooth it is and it is very nippy, easily overtaking traffic where required.

I didnt push it as the tires are new. Not sure how many miles before they are bedded and the coating gone. Also I want to take it steady while I run her in. Taking it steady she seamed to accelerate very satisfactorily and easily got to 75mph on the motorway before I slowed back to 70.

The manual states to avoid full throttle starts and rapid acceleration for the first 300 miles which I did. It didnt say anything about max speed but I didnt want to risk it

So far Ive still got a big grin on my face and looking forward to my next ride.

Im looking at routes in North Yorkshire and going to pack some sandwiches and a flask and enjoy some scenery when shes been run in.

Forgot to add I love the gloss black colour scheme. Really looks class to me.

My riding jacket and helmet have high vis strips so im hopefully visible to other traffic. I also ride with full led lights to be seen as well as possible

In the UK it comes with 2 years parts and labour, datatag security and 2 years free AA cover which is a nice touch. Just need to get an alarmed disc lock for when in the garage now

Hi m8, the windscreen is electrically adjustable. On the photo its on max setting. It can lower another 140mm by a button on the left handlebar. Im 6ft tall and found less helmet turbulance lowing it on the motorway at the cost of more wind force on the chest. Its early days im still getting to love this bike
