These places are in Connecticut U.S.A. but the first one is taken on the CT River from the Old Lyme side near the railroad bridge. It still works and opens vertically for tall boat traffic.

This picture was taken at a boat launch ramp, again in Old Lyme, near a marsh tributary that flows into the mouth of the CT River and Long Island Sound. Old Saybrook is off in the distance . . ..

Here we have a parking lot at Rocky Neck State Park. In another month this will be full of visitors on the weekends. Great place to visit. It offers a beach, camping area, pavilion, and hiking trails.

Thanks . . .!
Oh that was you waving WN? I thought it was a park ranger.
Here's a couple of more pictures of the place in mid-winter of 2014.
The pavilion is up on the hill. It was built during the Depression as a "make work" government project.

Here's a picture of the beach looking east. Storm damage has taken it's toll over recent years on the board walk but they strive to keep it maintained.

It has been so hot here that I haven't been able to ride. Besides that my wife is still going through treatment after 4 major medical scares.
In any case, I started my bike yesterday and it just sounded so beautiful! It started up right away and was so smooth. Oh, I love that sound!

All the best to your wife Mel . . ..
It's been a tough go indeed. I'm glad the doctors have things moving in the right direction.
About the PCX . . . I know what you mean. I still miss mine.
Maybe you can get a quick loop around your neighborhood soon!
