Re: Hi everyone... NCY Variator kit?
UPDATE: I did remove the 1g inserts as promised so am now running 12g sliders which are a little peppier than the 13's.. If you remember I mentioned Sendler had recommended 11g-12g if you wanted Dr Pulley sliders and I'd concurr. The scoot is still not pulling near redline even with the 12g size. I'...

Re: Wheels out of balance?
Doesn't sound like a wheel balance problem really. Are your tire pressures correct?

Re: breakfast with k2apache
Swingarm is a 4 1/8" stretch, it definately improves the ride, no question about it. Extra pic here and there's more info and pics on my build thread. Seat is a bikersbitz #7, sits about 2" lower than stock

Careful what you say about Mel though, he's our enforcer, the Sargeant at arms. The sandbox is for filling socks that he uses as cosh's. He doesn't take ridicule lightly. We dont know what else is in the top box but it aint pretty.

Re: NCY Roller weights, quality and durability. 10K test
I think my actual speed was probably around 75 too because the 110/80 rear tire was throwing off the speedo to the negative slightly. According to the Tacoma tire calculator its slightly smaller in circumference. I Dont have a smartphone so couldn't do the GPS thingy.

Soooo... You are saying that if I packed up my stuff, and I rode like a madman from Atlanta, Georgia down to Ft. Lauderdale, I still couldn't join you guys at breakfast because I have a hi viz jacket and a top box? Snobs!! I'll just take my PCX and find another sandbox to play in! So there.... Hmm,...

Re: NCY Roller weights, quality and durability. 10K test
Sounds about right Mel. 72 was my best (speedo) about a week after install with the NCY vario, outer plate, 13g NCY rollers, and a new belt.

Re: Hi everyone... NCY Variator kit?
True, a tach would be a Godsend. I too am guessing the NCY Clutch bell might be heavier for the reasons alluded to earlier. I will weigh the two when I reverse the mod to obtain 12g sliders again and update the thread, Maybe Tuesday. I have to work all weekend and need a bit more time with the 13g t...

Re: Thailand new PCX 150 upgrades
There is a problem with those bigger tires. I'm recalling them. Just drop them in the mail and we will get back to you... NOT! Love the look. You added some nice upgrades. I think we are a little jealous that you can get the upgrades so inexpensively. Ok I confess, been thinking about these from Ja...

Re: NCY Roller weights, quality and durability. 10K test
Draw your own conclusions, but from what I see you ought to be good for 10k using NCY Variator/roller combo. The belt also lasted for 10k. Over that time acceleration remained pretty much the same but the top end dropped off after about 5-6k, seeing what I see here you'd be better off changing the b...

Re: NCY Roller weights, quality and durability. 10K test
1st the Rollers, no flat spots were evident. heres the old (10k) vs the new. As can be seen very little wear is evident. How much of this is due to the rollers themselves or the Teflon coating in the NCY variator is unknown. The Teflon coating along the roller paths is now worn through, but for how ...

NCY Roller weights, quality and durability. 10K test
I was thinking of adding this to an existing topic but really it deserves one of it's own. For those that aren't following the other related threads this is testament not only to the quality and durability of the NCY rollers, but also to the machining of their variator. These rollers were removed af...

Re: Hi everyone... NCY Variator kit?
Well without wishing to complicate matters for those on the fence, there's a definate improvement in smoothness with the 13g sliders, however its not revving high enough at WOT. Even with a long run the ear dyno would guess around 7-7,500 rpm tops, it definately revved higher with the 13g NCY roller...
