Now that is rude!!

Post by Mel46 »

I am at the local Target store. I just watched an individual unload their cart into their car. Then they pushed the car behind the vehicle beside them, backed up and drove away. The cart return was 12 feet from their car! Now the person in the vehicle beside them will have to roll the cart to the cart return in order to access the trunk of their SUV. How rude can a person be!!

I think Mrs. Trump worn the jacket that had that on it but I don't think she meant that being rude was something not to care about.

Imagine a world in which not one single person was polite or thoughtful of others. Neighbors would be shooting each other and road rage would be everywhere... and somebody will push THAT button without thinking.

...... uhhhh ... I think we are in trouble.

You know how that goes. First a shopping cart. Then they move on to the hard stuff. Pretty soon they will be banging their car doors into yours and laughing. From there they will move up to driving their cars through plate glass windows, and then beating up cops with their walking sticks. When will it end?! I tell you we are only a heartbeat away from somebody pushing the button! ...or old folks moving up from Florida.

Look at it this way.
If everyone leaves their carts scattered around the car park the shop will have to employ kids to go round collecting them all in.
By returning your cart you're effectively doing someone out of paid work.
Now that's selfish ;)

I refuse to go through "self checkout" lines. I defy the cost cutters who try to improve their bottom line by duping me into thinking I'm cool and sophisticated and extra intelligent because I can scan or push buttons and bag my own stuff and let them off the hook from giving someone a job. Screw them and screw their machines. . .enough is enough. . .when will it end. . .?

If I'm spending money in a grocery store then the least they can do is say "Thank you" and help me bag my stuff. :geek:

Where I go the employees are always kind and helpful. In order to help them keep their jobs I go in the traditional cashier lines. ;)

Years ago milk used to be delivered to your house. What happened to the milk men? Garbage men gathered your garbage cans from where they were stored and emptied them into the truck. Now you bring it to the curb and a truck with an automated device picks it up and empties it, drops it, and you go step and fetch. Remember pulling into a gas station and a guy came out in a uniform and filled your gas tank, checked your oil, and cleaned your windshield? Gone is that day. . .. How about drive-in movie theaters?. . .great places to go with the family and just plain fun. . .where are they now?

Western civilization as we knew it disappearing. Some may say for the better but one thing for sure is we'd better start thinking about the next person in line and how we leave the space we move on from. It's the creatures on this planet that cooperate that survive. The ones who are all hell bent on competition and winning and accumulating resources well beyond their needs while other suffer are the ones who don't last. :geek:

Wow. . .sometimes I amaze myself.

...and a scooter in every carport or garage! Yes!

Take that you bad drivers in you big hunk of SUV tanks!

Yesterday I saw a lady driving her TWO kids around in the biggest SUV they make. Is that because she can't drive a regular SUV without hitting someone or something, so she had to get the biggest one she could find...a Ford Excursion!?

Really?? Get a scooter with a sidecar, lady!

Huge SUV = rigid chassis = far greater chance of serious injury to occupants if involved in a collision.

Interesting considering how many people I see in the big SUVs who are not wearing seatbelts. I can drive or ride over to the local Chik Fila and see kids Jumping around loose in the big family SUV just about every single day. Yes, there is a seat belt law. Do they care? Probably not. After all, if you live in our area then the laws of physics don't count, especially if you drive an expensive suv.

I'd rather be hit in an SUV than a smart car, which to me is a dumb car.

Talk about rude, I live in Seattle and twice this year have gotten the middle finger while driving. I drive conservative.

I see can not liking my driving and just passing me fine, pass me but to give me a finger. What is up with society?

If anyone wants to trade places with me in Seattle let me know, anywhere on earth seems better than this pit.

Uh, my daughter lives just north of Seattle (her husband works at Boeing) and we would love to move up there near her. Also, there are quite a few aircraft workers who relocated from Georgia to Washington to work at Boeing, so you may be crossing paths with them in Seattle. Aren't they a lovely group of reprobates!? :-)

NO kidding? small world.

The whole Seattle region is exploding with growth. So much that its really a transplant city now. Kind of like Phoenix back its in heyday where everyone was from elsewhere.

I have all ready decided to move to New Mexico when its time. I really want room and space something seriously lacking in Seattle.

Been there too. Albuquerque has changed too. Now it is like most other cities, including crime. Back in the 1960's it was far less crowded, and crime was not as high as in other cities its size. Every place grows eventually or dies. I have been in every state in the United States except Alaska and they all have drawbacks, so don't expect to find paradise there.
