PCX 50,000 kms Oil Change (Fully synth)
And what a difference it made, the engine revs smoother and more quiet. I wished I started using Fully Synth sooner.
Although at 50,000 odo, I also changed the entire variator set , the belt, and clutch pads, so it could also be the reason for the overall smoothness I am feeling.
Everything looks better from the inside of a motorcycle helmet...

Suspect it’s the effect of mechanical change too.

Re: PCX 50,000 kms Oil Change (Fully synth)
I have used full synthetic since the second oil change. I use it in my car too. It makes a difference. My car runs as good as the day I purchased it (2008), and the bikes have no complaints. :-)
Currently own:

The variator and belt made most of the difference

Re: PCX 50,000 kms Oil Change (Fully synth)
You waited until 50 k / km to change the cvt parts?
Wow!
I changed the belt/rollers at 20k / km.
I also take it all apart every 10 k / km to check wear on each part.
I have just done the 40 k / km breakdown and it looks as though the clutch inner (aka - cluth weights / plates) and the clutch outer (the housing around the clutch) both need to be changed quite soon.
There is visible scoring on the interior surface of the cluth outer.
Also it seems to slip a little on acceleration from zero.

Didn't say it was the first time Iv'e changed it.
Changed my belt and clutch pads at 25k, also Iv'e alternatively tried using an aftermarket bowl and rollers in between.
But at 50,000 kms, I bought an entire set and changed everything there. Bowl, rollers, belt, clutch set i ncluding engine oil and gear oil, filter..
