Nice! I need a fraking windshield!Jhois1 wrote:I just had my 3rd straight fill up with higher MPG than any other under the 1st 1000 miles. 94.7, 94.7 again and 90.0. Was getting high 70's - to low 80's prior to that.

Only in some parts of the South, including all of South Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, etc... The area me and Mel live in is actually quite civilized, we have running water, power, and sometimes centralized sewage.gn2 wrote:I thought they communicated using animal noises and banjo music...?
Mel, in what direction? I grew up hanging out with my best friends in Chimney Springs down one way on Johnson's Ferry, played hockey several times a week up at Sparkles, used to go to church down at St. Anne's, and still golf up at Indian Hills regularly, so I'm all over where you're at! Our house is a little bit West of that area, we're off of Holly Springs right next to where they put in the roundabout at Davis Road a few years ago, in the Wendwood subdivision. Are you on Facebook? I ride with this group relatively often: https://www.facebook.com/groups/GOTGASS/ There's also a rally coming up in September, called Resurgence 5. We went to Resurgence 2-4, they were awesome. You should come this year if you can, we all hang out, go on rides, and watch people trash their scooters at gymkhana. Here's a link, but no info's up yet: http://atlantarally.com/

Just before the work starts, reach out and get a good hold of the dentists family jewels and say "we're not going to hurt each other, are we?"

Now, you're showing your ignorance of the diversity of the residents on the North American continent... if they were from Canada, they would say, "Biatch, eh?"you you wrote:gn2 wrote:Easily sorted.CaptnJim wrote:Fear of dentists?

It may be a UK thing, but most of us here don't feel the need to hold the testicles of our dentists. You "old country" guys are funny that way, huh?

And, to keep this on-topic: we are averaging around 100 mpg on our PCX 150s... that's "real" gallons. We don't feel the need to give our gallons titles, like Imperial, just so you feel like you're getting more mpg.

Re: MPG after 1st 1000 miles
Mpg really depends on how fast you turn your right wrist. The first couple thousand miles I was wide open every take off just because I enjoyed suprizing normal traffic at how "quick" I could pull away from them, this riding style returned 85-93mpg. Once I was past the wot takeoffs, the last 9,000 miles traveling mostly 45-65mph I've been getting 106mpg. Oh ya, and a taller windshield has definitely helped mpg stats, my upper body is no longer a sail catching wind.
