Free to a Good home...one rear tire

Post by Mel46 »

I purchased my PCX 150 in April after trading in my beautiful Burgman 400, which had a brand new City Grip on it. When I put the new tire on it I also put a new City Grip on my wife's PCX. I rode my new PCX for exactly 1300 miles before I pulled the original IRC rear tire and put a new City Grip on it also. Now I have an almost new IRC that needs a good home. If anyone wants it, just pay for shipping and it is yours. No a thing wrong with the tire. I just love Michelin City Grip tires. IRC tires are just regular tires, while City Grip to me are super tires.

Well, I just checked the tire for someone on the forum, and it isn't an IRC. Surprise! My bike was brand new off of the showroom floor, and it has Dunlop tires....well except for the back one which is now a beautiful Michelin City Grip. So, the tire I am giving away is a Dunlop 900A, 57P, 100/90 - 14.

Well, I think I have found a home for my tire. SENDLER2112 has asked me to check on shipping for him. I have to admit that I have never shipped a tire so I will have to find out how. When I got my City Grip it just had a band around the tire with the mailing information on it. But they used some delivery service I have never heard of, so I am hoping the ups will take it.

As an answer to whether the City Grip helped or hindered gas mileage, I woild have to say that it is better with it because the tire sticks so well to the ground and in corners that I think it makes every turn of the tire count instead of it fighting for traction. Still, that is an opinion.
