I've been trolling the board for a bit and am nearly ready to pull the trigger on a 2015 white PCX. My local dealer has one on the floor at the MSRP price of $3,499. I was curious what is a fair offer looks like? Is it safe to assume the $310 destination charge I see on Honda's website will be added? Should I expect those vague "dealer fees?" I'm just trying to prepare myself for when a $3,500 scooter becomes $4,500 after taxes. I haven't decided whether I will purchase Honda's rear case, mount, and lock at the time of purchase or maybe wait and decide later.

Thanks in advance!

Wife just bought a Black 2015 PCX 150.....I rode it Home yesterday.....traded Her Forza 300 in on it. Left the Dealer with the PCX with a new tag on it, and a new Tall Honda Windshield (arriving soon), and a check for $1200..... ;)

Was the Forza a bit too heavy for her?

Wow! These (just under) $3,700 OTD prices for a 2015 model are great!
Folks just outside of these state(s) might want to consider driving there to buy one! You could ride it home, trailer it, or load it in a truck. Just a thought for those who want a great buy. You can even make a mini vacation out of it...a fun weekend?

Wow! A used Forza for a new PCX plus $1200 back? And a tall windshield on top of that? I'd say you came out a winner in this transaction big time. The '14 Forzas are going for USD 4820 equivalent in Canada, plus freight and PDI.

I think he mentioned that because of her worsening knee problems, she needed to downsize.

I went to 2 local dealers in Seattle for a 2015 PCX, both quoted $4500 OTD at first and lower to $4200. Still overprice IMO. Anyone lucky bought it for below 4K in Seattle, and which dealer? I'm working with the third dealer now and offer them $3700 OTD.

The Canadian dollar is so bad now, without haggling at all you can get a PCX 150 here for $4,065 USD OTD. This time last year it would've been $4,675 USD. Both prices converted from $5,000 CAD.

I hope Honda Canada is not planning a mid model year price adjustment.

Yep, my Wife has a knee that She injured twice in falls, and the Forza, and 750 Aero Cruiser were both getting difficult during stops. So we sold Her Cruiser, and traded Her Forza. She's owned everything from CB900s, VTX1300s, etc., to most every size Scooter made with no issues over the years, but the knee has made Her change back to a PCX 150, which, anyway was Her Favorite Ride over the years. She really likes the new body work, lights, and larger capacity fuel tank too.....Pics soon..... ;) ... 8)

Is that price available everywhere in the Lower Mainland? That's about $5100 CDN.
Thanks! :D

Interesting! If I bring it back to the States do I have to pay any tax?

I just built a 2015 PCX from honda.ca site the total OTD came out with tax CND $4772 equal to US $3810. The 2013 even cheaper at CND $3764 or US $3005.

That's before haggle and discount from dealer. The questions is if I could buy it without tax and bring back to the States and register here.

You may, but I believe Washington State residents may apply for a GST rebate so you get about 5% back. Do you research on rules of importing motor vehicles to the US. I know to import a vehicle from the US to Canada, it has to be an approved vehicle in the Registry for Importable Vehicles, and must be a used or demo vehicle that has been registered on the road for at least 12 months.

There's also an average import fee of $800, which is steep for a motorcycle. But my boss paid $36,000 for a demo Highlander Hybrid back in 08 after import fees and taxes, but a brand new unit would've been $47,000 here. So he saved $11,000.

I don't see why you can't go for $4,100 OTD and save the hassle of importing, unless the Canadian dollar continues to plummet. Head north to Burlington or maybe even Bellingham or south to Tacoma and see if you can get a better deal. But then again is it worth trying to save $100?

A lot of dealers charge a doc fee, and honestly I'm not a good enough negotiator to get out of the doc fee.

Thanks dkazzed for all the info!

It's true $100 is not worth for all the trouble.

No problem. I just noticed your info, did you just buy one? We just have candy red and bright metallic bronze. I still don't know why they can't offer all four colours on both sides of the border. A white pearl PCX150 would've match my white pearl Mazda 3 beautifully.

No problem, good luck! Nice guy, he was eager to get me out for a test ride. But I don't want to bother while my license restricts me to 60km/h until I pass the skills test.

How do they get to $4,500 OTD? Isn't the MSRP $3,449? Had I purchased for MSRP I think my total would have still been around $3,950. ($3,449 MSRP + .06 sales tax +$259 destination +$36 licensing)

Basically I had one dealer in Louisville, KY offer me a white 2015 PCX for $3,449 plus tax, title, and license. They were going to waive destination fees. I didn't have to negotiate this deal, this is just what they led with.

My local dealer in Elizabethtown, KY had two 2015's (one black and one white). I wanted to buy local and I wanted black. My dealer knew the Louisville dealer pretty well and said he'd match the price and even thanked me for keeping my business local. Here's how he worked his deal. Base price $3,204.66, $192.28 for tax, $259 (hard printed) for a destination fee, and $36 for license and transfer. All total $3,691.94.

Someone mentioned that Honda has a 17% mark up. If true then the dealer cost would likely be around $2,700 - $2,800.

Good luck!

No, I haven't. Not really hurry to get one since I didn't get my endorsement yet. I really like the metallic bronze. The white pearl are kinda dull, I like the glossy black better but it too dark for night time. Gotta check out the price from other dealers around here and I'll bring cash next time to see if they will bug.

Visited a couple more Honda dealers and the best quote I got was 4,250 OTD. But I found a 2015 SYM HD200 EVO for 3,700 OTD. This is the exact model

Not a bad little bike. It should handle pretty well with those 16" wheels. It is 100 lb heavier than the PCX and requires high octane fuel @ 70 mpg. SYM and Kymco Taiwanese scooters are just about as good as the Japanese ones. I was considering a used one myself at first but decided I liked the maxi-scooter format better.
