It will be slower. But, the guys at my Honda dealers get the pick of bikes to use and a fair number of them are saying that their favourite of all at the moment is the 125 Forza.RRocket wrote:My only concern is...will I get bored with it. I don't think so...but having never owned something so small, the thought has crossed my mind.
But as others have mentioned, I do find it fun and sooo easy to ride. So easy in fact, I seemed to enjoy the scenery a bit more than I had in years.

Obviously the Forza 125 is in Europe only, so when it comes to scooters for the rest of us, the pcx tops the list.
Currently own:

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn

Re: Decisions, decisions...(new guy)
The Forza's have been selling like hot cakes with some dealers advising purchasers there is 1-2 months backlog on ordering one! (other Dealers have a few in the show-room). Blue/White is the most common sold followed by the grey / black (we don't get the red/white or others direct in the UK).
Most users are very happy with dealers quoting less cost for 1st service than the humble PCX! (£53 rather than say £70+). A few on the FB group have had minor problems - petrol catch issues so cap does not close easily - fixed by tightening the cable and one person had a flap missing under the rubber foot-rest (dealer saying Honda left it off but the dealer serviced the bike in that area so why keep quite at that point!).
Many using the Forza 125 for commuting are getting near PCX mpg figures - 100+ with some in the 120's.

Was at the dealer today! The scoot is one of the silver/charcoal colored ones. Looks great in the sun! Avg MPG for test was an unbelievable 110! Got them down to $3200 (list is $3899)
I think I'm going to pull the trigger....

Re: Decisions, decisions...(new guy)
I get a really decent deal on my new pcx service, 600 mile one was only £37.20 its next one will be costing he estimated at around £63 really good dealer who didnt try to push me for a bike i didnt want and got the turn around time for setting up the new bike down to three days (rather than over a week at another dealer) i was worried about having it dealer serviced but not any more.

Re: Decisions, decisions...(new guy)
I earlier quoted buying a discounted 2013 for 2999.00 Cdn
add freight and pdi=350.00
tire levy=10.00
tax=401.57
out the door 3747.52
always pissed me off that one has to take the added costs into consideration
I guess the confusion helps selling options and warranty
because the customer is all ready shelled shocked

Re: Decisions, decisions...(new guy)
For myself, I sold a 150 and bought another. Did the big bike thing with a Honda Sabre, and for me, it's just too much bike. The PCX gives me a touring scooter feel, and even enough grunt for short hops at 55+ when necessary. It also gives superior fuel economy, which is a heeyoooge bonus. Kinda makes me chuckle when I hear folks with their big cruisers scoff at the idea of a small engine when they usually don't do much more than 45 mph, sometimes 25 depending on where the bars are...and they're getting maybe 40 mpg. Yeah, they can do longer stints on the highway, but so what, highway riding is the definition of boredom. Give me secondary roads and I am a happy man.

Re: Decisions, decisions...(new guy)
I found that pretty interesting myself. Highways are definitely no fun... unless we're talking about the H3 highway in my state, which has a breathtaking view. But highways are not twisties, so I wouldn't call it "fun" unless you're cruising along a nice desert road maybe hopping from one state to the next.
It's also interesting how little people appreciate good fuel economy as you can zip around all throughout the neighborhood for the price of a Starbucks frappacino.

Highways are made for large trucks
drive one for a living
big power and fast
general public always seem to want to play in traffic - the reason for huge private vehicles
suv and pick ups
my pcx allows me to be neighbourhood friendly

Re: Decisions, decisions...(new guy)
ahh welcome to the forums!
It's an excellent bike, with outstanding handling, I love how you can throw it into corners and its always stable and it makes you "feel" safe, excellent MPG, doesn't look like a standard scooter, will get some looks from other riders and the bullet proof Honda reliability!
My bad points, mines a 2013 so has the stupid humpy seat, I just wish it was a tiny bit quicker.
But on the whole, its an awesome scoot and as an introduction to the world of scootering / biking!
Why are you still sat here reading this?
Go buy it!

Windscreen is a good idea. The make-believe windscreen it comes with is not at all effective.RRocket wrote:I bought the scooter. I pick up up Wednesday!

Also a good idea to add a rack to the back.
