Battery is on charge now. It's nearly 5 years old so I'm expecting it to be feckered.

The sun's be out all along just cold enough to freeze the balls of a brass monkey. What kind of a dark winter do you Scottish have to put with? It's not like Antarctica is it?

Re: First hint of sun....!
It may be getting towards Spring now (just!) but over-night and in the morning it's freezing - light ice coating on the scooter cover and cars and my hands were like ice coming in (still waiting for new hand-guards to arrive as I now have the brackets to mount on the bar-ends).
I was skiing in the Alps last week - some sun but several days of heavy snow throughout the day and I was still a lot warmer than when I arrived back in the UK which was over-cast, a bit rainy and generally cold

Re: First hint of sun....!
Sun? Send some that will last, heh 2yous!
It's frickin' freezing here! Temps will go well below zero this weekend...like -20 degrees or lower. That's Killer cold, and the Damn snow will never melt!
Where am I? About to enter 2yous fav living space.
Garage! Woot! I love garages too. What's up with that anywho?
Not doing oil change yet.
I have a bit of petrol sitting on the bottom (like 2 marks worth).
That's getting sucked out. Fresh put in along with 2 ozs. of Seafoam (that was pre-mixed in my No-Spill 2 1/2 gallon can/jug/container... weird words. Which is it?)
Here's how No-Spill works:
Off to me heated garage. WN sitting pretty on center stand fully juiced via "battery tender junior."
Need a pic of that tender, do ya? Alrighty
And a info linky: http://www.batterytender.com
L8r (have fun!)

Re: First hint of sun....!
Yes, it is cold here in Atlanta, Georgia too. Today it was around 50 degrees F, but tonight it should be 25. Tomorrow the high is suppose to be 38 with a low of 23. I think this is suppose to be the Sun Belt region. Monday says chance of snow mixed with rain. The climate in this area is so unpredictable that I, along with many others, wonder why they pay the weatherman. He is wrong 50% of the time....but he gets close. You know the type of prediction.."It will be sunny with a chance of rain". OK, does that mean that it will rain while the sun is out...which it does around here...or does it mean that we can get on our scooters, buckle up our helmets, drive to the gas station, and then wait for the rain to clear for a few minutes so that we can fill up the tank and go home.??? We have actually had blizzards in March in the past. That should be the time we start washing the cars and getting everything ready for scooter rides, not sitting inside because there is no snow clearing equipment in the South! But Spring will come soon enough.

Re: First hint of sun....!
Same here, being in London. On the whole we've been lucky again as not a bad winter - a small amount of snow over 1 day that soon melted, no ice to speak of and just the occasional heavy rainfall and showers. Bike starts 1st time every time and is riding well - only had 1st service done, I did an oil change just past 5000miles (not checked rear drive yet) and original spark plug and air filter.Embattle wrote:My bike runs in all weathers except heavy snow which is rare here in blighty.

Re: First hint of sun....!
No idea anyone had that much influence on the weather! Looks like main roads should be rideable this afternoon, though only 2 celcius at the moment here in Insch. Fingers crossed I'll get a few safe miles in.
RTFM!!!!!!!!!!!!
