Bought a new PCX 150 (Red) today

Post by Bash On! »

Already made a mistake by posting in the wrong topic area. Reposting here.

It's three hours old but still at the dealer until my wife can drop me off to get it.

Last bike was a Harley Road King so anticipate spending a little bit of time getting used to a much smaller two-wheeler. Had a Yamaha Vino 50 a decade ago, so have had some scooter seat time.

Usually ride a bicycle to work, but there are just some days (like today: 105 degrees) when using my own power is not too appealing.

Will also use the PCX to work bicycle and running events--mobile communications on the scoot. Would be interested in hearing from anybody who has mounted a ham radio (VHF/UHF) on their PCX.

Looking forward to chatting with everybody!

Best regards,
Mark

Congrats, Mark. You'll love the PCX. My first scoot was the Yamaha Vino 125.

Congrats on your new scooter. I just bought one a few weeks ago but I've never had any motorcycle or scooter experience. My hubby had to drive it home from the dealer. I've only been on it once in a parking lot. I was amazed how quick it feels. I can't wait to get my license so that I can drive it. It will be great to take it back and forth to work. I actually found this form by researching mounting my phone to the handle bar so that I can use my phone's gps.

Congrats on the new scoot, and kudos to your fine taste on selecting the red! 8) Moving from a Harley to a PCX is an adjustment, but it won't take you much more than a trip around the block to adjust... the big thing is remembering that the left lever is NOT a clutch. Oh, and your feet may feel like they should be doing something! But, when you get beyond that, the PCX is an absolute blast.

After a lot of motorcycles over the years, I am completely hooked on the ease and fun of this scooter. Hope you enjoy it as much.

Best wishes,
Captain Jim

Congrats to another new owner! I bought mine on Saturday, but waiting on the dealer to install a power cable and a handlebar mount for my phone for GPS. Not ready for highway riding to get home just yet, so it's backroads in the beginning. I just don't exactly know the way home, so I need a guide!
