The forces I mention are on the disk.
Similar affect as the attached video.

but much higher temperatures, producing much stronger forces.

Re: Forza 300 Front disk warp.
Not quite
The stopping power/performance is unaffected be they floating or not.
Floating disks can just handle thermal expansion better.

Re: Forza 300 Front disk warp.
Floating discs don't affect the performance at all.
They allow the disc to expand when it gets hot.
If they are fixed(Not floating) when they get hot/expand they exert huge forces. This is what usually causes warp.

Re: Forza 300 Front disk warp.
The rear discs warp much less often on combi brake setups. It's a single pot which only gets used in combination with the front brake. It just doesn't generate the same heat the three pots calipers do on the front. The front is just under rated for the weight of the bike. Three pot calipers are rare...

Re: Forza 300 16,000 main dealer mile service cost
I was torn between a fully loaded 2014 CB500X and a bare minimum 2014 NC750X both for the same price. I would have loved the DCT version, but apparently since the earthquake there is a 4 month lead time on them, and they are rare second hand. Went with the CB500X in the end, I'll probably regret not...

Re: Forza 300 16,000 main dealer mile service cost
I had that quote this weekend. Plus £80 for a new Tyre and fitting Plus £25 for an MOT Plus £100 for another warped brake disc which would fail MOT Plus £30 for new rear pads again. Grand Total of £685 It broke me, They offered me £2.1k Part Exchange. So goodbye Forza, They also mentioned that the F...

Re: Front tyre bought in error
Going to try this at the weekend as my front is now knackered. Homie is refering to a putting a 120mm tyre on a 90mm PCX Wheel. I'm trying to put a 140mm Tyre on a 120mm Forza Wheel I was just worried about rubbing on the mud guard. It's that or I bin the tyre, selling it used wouldn't be worth the ...

Re: salt/efflorescence on crankcase
It's crap that Honda didn't even bother to paint it.
The whole assembly is prone to rot.
It is there for vibration reduction. The plastic flaps like crazy without it.
I sanded the Aluminum down gave it a spray of black paint and stuck it back on.

Re: Oil change light actually works
Cold Air is denser and holds less Humidity.
So each combustion has more Oxygen in it.
The fuel burns better as a result, = more power from the same volume of fuel = more efficient.

Re: Insurance claim or not?
powerbypcx.com does panel sets cheap.
But beware the paint quality doesn't match the original panels. So get a complete set, not just the one you need or after a year it will look odd.

Re: Really Awful Brakes
Try using just the front for a journey and then feel how hot the back caliper is.
Does the wheel spin freely?
Maybe your combi brake isn't balancing the load and you are using the back all the time.

Re: Rough engine
Ran the engine without the belt on the other day, buzz still present. So definitely not the clutch or cvt.
I think the engine isn't so well balanced and something is loose and amplifying that frequency band.

Vespas tend to hold their value better and longer, but are over priced.

Re: a little rough or buzz at 4250-4400 rpm
So a little progress last weekend. Disassembled the transmission because of a bad bearing. Wheel off, case off, clutch off, belt off, variator off, saddle off, topcase off, Rear panels off, bucket off. Ran the engine. Still has the buzz, but not as noticable. Putting things back on one part at a tim...

Re: noise from back. sounds like a bearing
The part causing the grinding is a common part between the Forza and PCX Bearing 91002-GA7-702 (Fujikoshi) has been obsoleted in favour of 91002-GA7-701 made by NTN (Not NSK, type O on my part) 91002-KPB-003 has not changed. This can also cause the grinding sound. I have no idea when Honda stopped u...

Re: noise from back. sounds like a bearing
+1 on this at 14K
Grinding sound turned out to be Bearing in Clutch assy.
Same model/brand which has now been obsoleted by Honda in exchange for an NSK one.
Same bearing on PCX and SH.

Re: Honda Forza Slightly Bent Rim (outer lip)
Most fully comp insurance will cover that.
Not worth messing about.
Get a new wheel on it, insurance might pay out for the burst tyre too.

Re: seat damper/lift...or lack thereof
It's a design fault.
replacing the damper doesn't fix it.
Honda should do a recall with an up-rated damper/spring but It's not something anyone will return the bike for and it's not safety critical, so they won't.

Avoid sticking anything hard to helmets. A well made GoPro is why Schumacher can't drive these days.
