How are you enjoying the NC750XD?
I just pranged my PCX, frame bent, and thinking of up-sizing to a NC750XD.

Re: 13 gram dr pulleys installed with filing mod, results.
Has this actually been tested? I do recall reading about a recommendation to use heavier weights with a BBK, but I never heard an explanation on why. And if anything, that actually sounds a bit backwards given that the torque curve has a higher peak at lower rpms compared to the peak rpms of the po...

Re: 13 gram dr pulleys installed with filing mod, results.
http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1061#p15223 Valiant, check the 3rd curve in the 1st post (PCX150) power vs km/h. Not this is not an engine dyno so it includes the effects of the CVT. But above 90km/h, the CVT has maxed out. It is clear that the power drops dramatically at higher spe...

Re: 13 gram dr pulleys installed with filing mod, results.
If you are modifying your engine, keep in mind that a more powerful engine requires heavier sliders/rollers to counter the increased torque on the torque driver. Why's that? Sounds like doing so would put pulling rpms down below the peak power of 8500. If nothing else, it seems like the longer gear...

Re: 13 gram dr pulleys installed with filing mod, results.
The limit seems to be different depending on the slope. I don't know if it is a fuel restriction or floating valves, but it is definitely a "hard" limit. On level or gentle downhill roads, my limit was about 110km/h but on steep downhills it was about 125km/h. Anyone know what causes this?...

Re: 13 gram dr pulleys installed with filing mod, results.
Is that how it works? I always figured that if you had trouble getting up to the red line in the first place, then making the gearing longer wouldn't help with that. I wasn't sure if power would actually drop if you went above the peak power range of 8500 rpms. Like if I'm running at 69 mph at 8900...

Re: 13 gram dr pulleys installed with filing mod, results.
Is that recently? I know he was pretty unresponsive up until the end of February, but I got a reply from him yesterday. He didn't specify on the larger gear, but he did mention that the countershaft has the same number of teeth, but the diameter is smaller. That was in January. Yes, I think the sho...

Re: 13 gram dr pulleys installed with filing mod, results.
Kinda surprised you would count the teeth on a picture o.O Disappointing that I had to resort to that.. still haven't had a response and doubt I ever will... I certainly wasn't going to pay a non-responsive company just to establish that the product is useless to me. I was crapped out badly enough ...

I also had this gear set installed: http://www.yuminashi.eu/short-esp-gear-set-with-shaft-pcx150-sh150i-abs-click125i-vario-techno125/ Now I would assume that was supposed to be the same as this set, only without the shaft and the sensor: http://www.yuminashi.eu/forged-final-gear-set-3-0-15-45-with...

Yes on the left, right.
I poked wire through with a stick and secured with cable ties where i could reach.
Perhaps not the best way, but I was lazy.

Re: Faster acceleration at lower speeds
I only had to remove the spark plug access cover to install my tach. Once you have the tach fitted, you can do some measurements and calculate the optimum slider mass. For your application I would get sliders only. No other mods necessary. I installed 11.5g sliders and they are close enough for now ...

I believe this is the right forum for this thread.
It might be nice to have an informal gathering sometime soon and just go for a ride somewhere.

Re: Gears for higher top speed
There may be another option if one is looking for something more extreme... 30% increase in gearing.
http://www.toptaller.com/TT_Shop/produc ... 150cc.html
But that would call for an engine upgrade imo.

Re: Gears for higher top speed
For those who missed it, the increase in gearing is 12.8% for a 2013 PCX150. :D To my mind this is about optimal for the standard engine. Yes the set replaces 2 gears as shown here: http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1981&start=40#p36750 The speed sensor works off...

Re: Gears for higher top speed
All done. I would say the whole job would take less than 2 hours if you have all the tools and know what to do. I used a 50 ton press to change the gear. The pressure gauge hardly budged so I would say it took less than 5 tons. The Yuminashi gear is slightly smaller than the stock one on the 2013 PC...

What are you waiting for again? Shipping. Well, I got the surprise of my life today when the stuff arrived at my house. Nearly ate my helmet. Germany to final address in SA in only 6 days is nothing short of a miracle. The other 11 days it was travelling around Europe. Anyhow... Not knowing what I ...
