did you just spray with a smoke paint or black or what? I'm looking to pick up a few different windshields in varying shapes and sizes so I can change them out like sneakers depending on my mood. I like how yours turned out.

That's good info. If the issue is that the support tabs on the swing arm aren't in the right position that can easily be fixed with couple of small aluminum brackets and a drill. That's even easier than cutting and welding the mounting flange.

Ever give any thought to stretching out some steel wool and stuffing it around the mesh section? I've had to use steel wool in automotive mufflers before and it worked well. Not sure how such a small engine would respond to it though.
