Re: Seat hump covers
I know several people (non PCX) who have tried Cheeky Seats and they love them. In seeing them live they are very good quality and fit very well. I personally ordered a seat from the guy in Thailand and that seat has worked out great but I never thought to consider moving back the backrest as I am t...

Re: Useful additions
Homie I hear ya. I do lock my scooter at night and as I said when home it is in garage. But when on rides and we stop for food or I do errands, ride to appointments etc I very very rarely lock my scooter. I do have the grip lock that goes around throttle and brake lever that can't be cut, also do ha...

Re: Useful additions
We don't use D rings on our modern helmets boys :D Doesn't mean it won't work with the latch, just no way to lock it. Hanging un-secured helmets off the bike is pretty risky business given the cost of a decent helmet being 2-500.00 Adding your Sena bluetooth electronics brings the value of a Schube...

Re: Adjustable PCX150 Windshield
Many in my local scooter group ride Vespa and one guy just got a windshield that adjusts up and down but not tilt. I personally don't care for windshield due to I like the "wind therapy" plus wear full face helmet. While it would benefit in the cooler weather it just isn't something I pers...

Re: Useful additions
Here is the video for the helmet hook I mentioned in my long list of additions. I thought this guy was funny and explained very well. I will have to do a video like Howie did with all my list of accessories. But again this is my favorite and inexpensive investment. [youtube] https://youtu.be/_P5i86X...

Re: Useful additions
A tunnel bag is a superb addition. Makes the PCX look better and adds a lot more storage space! Atpcop I wasn't sure what a tunnel bag was so I Google searched quickly. I need to maybe sit down and do a good search and add one to my scooter additions. I currently am using the "tank" bag f...

Re: Useful additions
PJD - check out Aerostitch khakis and jeans. I have enjoyed mine (and looked "work-casual"), and feel at least a bit safer. http://www.aerostich.com/aerostich-protekt-jeans-2.html Hmmm. Looks bleak for the khaki's. They may be discontinued. Thanks George I will look into these! I admit wh...

Re: Useful additions
Well sorry I have been away and didn't even answer my own post. Outside of basic safety gear such as helmet, armor jacket, gloves as well as basic non powered cooler weather gear here is a list of cool additions I personally have. 1. Custom made seat to get ride of the darn hump! Do like it but wish...

Useful additions
I was just wondering after you purchased your PCX what have been some of your favorite additional purchases to make your riding more fun, comfortable, memorable etc. I have a page on Facebook that since we are in the early stages of "riding season" (for those who don't ride year round) tha...

Re: Rear View Mirror Visibility
Mel just curious- you said you put your blind spot mirrors on the outside area of your mirrors - doesn't that block some of the prime real estate of your viewing area??? I don't have them but typically see people put them in. I have considered adding them but haven't as of yet. Wondering if maybe yo...

P.S. plus I just make double certain I unplug it and have developed routine I do that before taking helmet off or dismount or even remove key (which if I do anything dumb I leave key regularly, thankfully most my riding pals lookout for each other)

Re: 12v socket
Iceman - might be worth it if I had some ability to do minor things like that. I tend to leave these things for experts. If I had the confidence there would be lots of little things I would love to tinker with. So my choice is pay scooter shop mechanic prices or go without. Some of my local scooter ...

Re: 12v socket
I think you can use any socket but not positive. I have 2013 and saw next model had in glove box so had local scooter shop install one. They just ordered a standard socket. Not exactly sure how they installed. Only thing I wish it wasn't live even with scooter not started. While at times that could ...

Re: PCX horn replacement attempt
OOOOK, well I have installed 2 Bad Boy Horns and the whole process took less than an hour, but then I didn't take the bike apart like you did. I think you did an admirable and very professional-looking job. All I did was take the instrument panel cover off and stuff the horn down in the open area. ...

Re: Accessory socket inside Front Box
Mel46 instead of worrying about the door being open while using outlet or having to notch in the glove box door - I ordered one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003RQBKLC/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_1_7?colid=N2QUOTU4T2SI&coliid=I32GOKOPCUUXJC&vs=1 Then velcro to top in front of dash board. I ra...

Re: colder weather fuel economy
I used to work for a petroleum pipeline and there is a difference in regular unleaded gas from summer to winter. So it could be once the winter gas starts getting distributed to the filling stations you are seeing that drop. Looking at the dates in the graph seems about right.

Re: Cup Holder Recomendations?
I used a bicycle holder as well. It is good to also use silicone tape to prevent slipping.i also found a red one to match my PCX. Here is the link from Amazon. http://smile.amazon.com/Adjustable-Quick-Release-Bottle-Holder/dp/B00AIITW7G/ref=smi_www_rcolv2_go_smi?_encoding=UTF8&*Version*=1&*e...
