Re: Upgrading the rear wheel to a thicker tire?
Thanks for all the help! I'm a little curious, is the tread pattern or the tire material more important for wet handling? The Pirelli Diablos say they're fantastic for wet handling but the tread pattern looks a bit wimpy compared in the K66s... The K66 tires look fantastic and if my dealer can suppl...

Re: Upgrading the rear wheel to a thicker tire?
Sorry, one more question! I was about to pull the trigger on my new tires but a friend (who has a lot of experience with car tires but none at all with scooter/motorcycle tires) said that the treads on both the City Grip and Diablo tires would be bad in rain and would be more likely to hydroplane. D...

Re: Hello
Yes, I know that everything on the road can be dangerous. :) I use scooter for commuting. Daily. I have 19 km from home to my job. It's about 30-35 minutes by (this) scooter, 45 or more by car and 1+ hour by public transport (bus, metro, another bus). Public transport is cheapest (though I have to ...

Re: Hello
Ouch, that has to suck! Didn't hurt yourself though? Better to bleed green than red! Were you just using the standard tires? Which brake did you rely on for the stop? I'm trying to avoid accidents like that myself... When learning to drive a motorcycle I was told to rely on the rear brake more than ...

Re: My Honda PCX
Love the bike! Especially jealous of that mirror, I'm half tempted to buy new ones for myself. Though quick question. I believe I bought the same brake levers as you but my rear brake lever is a bit finnicky, it doesn't seem to always fully release and I'll sometimes be stuck with my rear brake ligh...

Re: A few accessories from Bikers in Thailand arrived
Be sure to take some pictures for us! Where'd you buy them and how much did you end up paying for shipping? I'm tempted to order similar things but all in silver/chrome. I'm about to pick up some adjustable brake levers from the post office today, can't wait to fit them on! These bikes are way too f...

Re: Upgrading the rear wheel to a thicker tire?
Thanks for all the help, guys! I'll likely just stick to the default tire to avoid any potential complications since it doesn't seem like an upgrade would make a significant difference. Rather than city grips I may end up with Pirelli Diablo tires since performance-wise they seem the same but are b...

Re: How do you ride?
It's my first vehicle and I've only owned it for a month, I'm not even sure how to drive yet! There's one road into another city where the speed limit is 50kmph but traffic often goes 90kmph... I'm comfortable going at that speed but not in a 50 zone. If I don't keep up with traffic and instead go 7...

Man, I'm having trouble too ) : The PoweredbyPCX site has some pretty cheap seats but I can't find any that I find very visually appealing... or any that many members of the forum own really.jojo87 wrote:I couldnt find them ones on the Website :-/

Upgrading the rear wheel to a thicker tire?
Hey guys! As always... I've got another question! I've been hearing nothing but good things about the Michelin City Grip tires so I've been looking to upgrade from the standard tires my PCX came with... Unfortunately they're essentially brand new but since winter is coming I figure I ought to prepar...

Re: Observation report: Leaning!
Nothing but great stuff has been said about the City Grip tires. I really need to get them. Haha, the forum has been tempting me to buy them but I'd have to take them to a shop to have them installed ) : Think they'd be much better than the standard tires they slap onto all the PCX models? My curre...

Re: reflective tape... now you see it
Looks fantastic! I'm looking at doing something similar to mine but I'm not stressing it too much since I can't even ride at night until I'm fully licensed! Mine especially needs it because I have a 100% black model...

Re: Parked next to a Forza a new Forza at work, already scra
Nice to know. I didn't get 30 miles on my PCX before I ate gravel ^_^ Ouch man! Any idea what went wrong? I've barely got around 100 miles on mine and I'm hoping I don't ever take a tumble on it! Even after parking it I'm constantly paranoid that it's going to be knocked over... too bad we don't ha...

For anyone patient with a fat wallet... There might be really awesome reflective backpacks coming out sometime.

Of course you could always just buy one of the backpacks others have mentioned and stick reflective tape on them : p

Re: Average age of PCX/Forza owners?
Am I youngest pcx owner on here? Haha, probably! It's more difficult to get a scooter or motorcycle when you're under 20 and most young people, especially in the US, tend to go for motorcycles rather than scooters. I'm 25 and my PCX150 is my first vehicle. You saw the light early and went for the b...

Re: What is that thing?
I've only seen one Forza in Vancouver, BC... I've seen a few maxi scooters but never another PCX! It's a little depressing! Most other scooters I see look like they've been in more than a few accidents. I've seen a lot of the Honda Ruckus, which makes no sense to me because my PCX was cheaper and se...

You're my new favorite person, thank you for clarifying! I was being encouraged to take it to the shop because of it.DAB wrote:That's normal.
