Re: God rid of the short Givi and...
Then it's actually worse than I thought it was, Mel. I'm 5 ft 9" (in your units) and thought someone shorter than me would find it useful. I could see some benefit on these windscreen as it does keep the worst of the wind off your chest, but the noise it creates at helmet height is unbearable t...

Re: God rid of the short Givi and...
God works in mysterious ways.... if wind buffing a problem, you thought of getting a car ? PCX - standard screen for me.... Sure He works in mysterious ways. I'm still wondering what part of my post is difficult to understand, or, more likely, if it has to do with your reading comprehension. You ca...

God rid of the short Givi and...
... And quite frankly, I think I'm not ordering any other windscreen. After summer, when I got the Givi back on the PCX (I had removed it for summertime) the wind buffeting became a pain. A real one. One day I got it off just to try. Day after it was for sale and I sold it yesterday. The PCX sees 90...

YSS shock absorvers
Hi all. I've been playing with the idea of getting a bigger scooter, but as I have moved recently and the PCX is not seeing that much use (still ride her every second day or so) I've disregarded it. However, I'm starting to think that some aftermarket shock absorvers make sense and these YSS are the...
Re: Schumaker
His driving made a difference. A huge one. You had to watch how his rivals went around corners and how he did, and if you knew a bit about driving you could see it. He was a couple of steps above. Not an example of sportsmanship in my opinion, but he was definitely a genius. Hope he makes a full rec...

I lean towards wheat beers. König and Paulaner are the ones I usually prefer.

Re: How is the scooter "culture" in your area?
They're as common as flies in summertime, where I live. And the 125 cc prevail, due to the fact that you can ride one without having to get a motorbike licence, provided that you've had a B licence (car) for the last three years. Those who have an A2 or A (motorbike) licence usually choose more powe...

Re: weather in Britain
Around 23-25 in the north of Spain. Couldn't be happier and it hasn't rained for the last two weeks. Can't believe it. Sometimes I feel like moving south to a warmer place, but I like it too much over here. Only thing I don't like that much is... the weather. But it's nice in the summer. When everyo...

Re: PCX Windscreen list
That TCP looks way to short for my liking, maybe shorter than the short Givi or short Ermax ( at +12cm over stock screen). I wouldnt recommend anything shorter than the tall +25cm Ermax unless you are purely after looks and dont worry about helmet noise or buffeting. But if anyone knows the height ...

Re: PCX Windscreen list
http://www.tcpsa.com/honda/pcx125.htm You may add TCP to the list ;) I like that one. No silly gap at the base True. Shame that I haven't seen a PCX with that windshield on to see how it actually looks like. When I had the short Givi on, I noticed less buffeting when I put a cloth in the gap. The E...

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Hi Cascanciu, actually I am English, but live in Aljezur, Portugal. There is a Portuguese PCX forum that I follow, and while my Portuguese is OK I would rather write in English. Also, the English language forums are so much bigger, so more likely to get useful info. I notice that you are in Asturia...

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Hi Marko, welcome to the forums!. I think I'm still the only Spaniard here so far, but it's good to see a Portuguese brother  . I have a good number of friends in Portugal. I can't help you with your query, though. My unit is at 6000 kms right now and I got a similar response from my dealer. La...

Re: Feeling sorry for the PCX 125?
GN2 has explained it very well. You just forgot that the PCX is a world wide model and that the rest of the world exists. In most of Europe and of course in Spain, you can ride a 125 cc without a full bike licence. In the Spanish case, you need a three year old B (car) licence and you'd be entitled ...

Got my short Givi windshield off the PCX and...
Man, that damned thing... won't install it again. I was complaining of heavy helmet noise, particularly with my visor down (modular helmet). Now the helmet seems a lot quieter. It's summer and I'm obviously wearing my summertime jacket, so decided to get the windshield off for the sake of coolness. ...

Oh right. My mistake, I thought both were 125. Then it makes sense that the 150 is quicker.

Re: Our New PCXs
They're still getting broken in, hers has 250mi & mine 525, so we haven't pushed them, but there is definitely a power, speed & torque difference between the two. The fun factor is the same though!!! I see, but so far which is one is quicker?. Theoretically, the ESP model should be quicker,...

Re: The shakes
My shakes only when the brakes are held at the lights. When I've stopped and let go of the brakes, it idles very smoothly I agree. Mine idles very quietly, and the few vibrations I notice are located on the handlebars. If I hold the rear (or combined) brake, then the vibrations move to the seat, th...
