Man, that damned thing... won't install it again. I was complaining of heavy helmet noise, particularly with my visor down (modular helmet). Now the helmet seems a lot quieter. It's summer and I'm obviously wearing my summertime jacket, so decided to get the windshield off for the sake of coolness. I had already decided to sell it and she's been put for sale already. I'll order a tall Ermax.
Side effect is that I can notice that it accelerates slightly worse, which makes sense. On the other hand, the steering seems much more responsive. With the windshield on the bike is a bit more reluctant to get inside the corner.

The tall windshields are WAY better than the short ones!
I wonder if you notice a difference steering because of wind differences, or if you just can move your head and body easier because you're not getting BLASTED in the face by wind...

there are all kinds of positives from installing the larger windshield. I noticed the steering is smoother, no more front and side wind blasts, and no more bugs in the helmet (they splat against the windshield now). the small factory windshield was worthless and they knew that. the mid size windscreen looks nicer but doesn't work well either. the accessories seem like a work in progress, trying out what works and what does not. and, you don't know it doesn't work until you install it! that's the good thing about this site. you post your question and lots of solid intelligent answers come back. now, I could kid a few of you guys as to the solid and intelligent part, but I'll pass.

I agree. We put the regular Givi windshield on and I ended up adding a makeshift extension which brings it up to about where the tall one would be. We will probably save up and replace this one with the tall Givi, which appears to be taller than the Ermax +25.
