Re: Usable Accessory Amps for 2015 PCX150?
Maybe I should have clarified. By accessory power, I don't mean just what plugs into the accessory port. I mean any electrical load that didn't come from the factory. I have my accessories wired via a relay to an aftermarket fuse block.

Re: Usable Accessory Amps for 2015 PCX150?
Best to go by what Honda specify for the accessory socket on the new PCX LED - which I believe has a 5A in-line fuse (need to check on the circuit diagram or manual). The new battery is uprated but it's still a tiny battery so taking too much current will not do the battery or alternator much good....

Re: Usable Accessory Amps for 2015 PCX150?
Not sure about this - but I know I bought a USB adaptor and phone mount, plugged in and saw the charge indicator light up...but when using GPS for half an hour my iphone battery dropped from 99% down to 60%. I'm not happy, and I'm hoping it's more to do with the (cheap) USB adaptor than the 12V pow...

Re: security
@yak -- That was one of my take-away's too. The margin is probably pretty low on a PCX vs a supersport or Harley too. I doubt the pros are out there targeting scoots. Meth heads are a whole other thing of course. They're thieves of opportunity.

Re: security
I can't install an anchor where I live, so I built a deterrent using a plastic 55 gallon drum, some 19mm chain, rebar, and concrete. It should be pretty self-explanatory from there, but essentially I set the chain in concrete with rebar through the links for extra measure. There's approximately 483k...

Re: How-To: Completely Dismantle A PCX
Another tip: The screws may look like Philips and for the most part a Philips will work, but they're actually JIS. The geometry is just different enough that you can strip the head on tight fasteners. A set of JIS screwdrivers is worth adding to your toolbox.

Re: How-To: Completely Dismantle A PCX
Thanks for this Dave. The Left Inner Outer Cover panel (around glove box) on the 2014+ is just as infuriating. Knowing it was a challenge for someone as skilled as you makes me feel a little less inept. Also, some of the screws are so tight from the factory that the head wants to strip out before th...

Usable Accessory Amps for 2015 PCX150?
I have a list of goodies that I'd like to add to my 2015 PCX150, but before I go shopping I'd like to get an idea of what kind of electrical budget I've got. My shop manuals weren't terribly helpful in this regard, and short of making my first purchase a shunt so I can run the bike with an ammeter, ...
