Re: This may be goodbye
Really can't blame you for going to the pcx, so much lighter then the b400 and snappy enough acceleration to do what u need it to do. Plus the mileage alone is worth it.. Filled up the b400 for the second time now and last tank was 54.8 mpg.. Much different then the pcx 85+ I always saw lol. Two tot...

Re: This may be goodbye
I actually saw there's a guy who has posted a how to for practically everything for the bike. The burgman community is just a great as the pcx community which is awesome. Everyone is so eager to help and it's so great. I had the common clutch pad glaze issue when I bought it and went ahead today and...

Re: This may be goodbye
The pcx is a fantastic bike when you understand what it is. In the beginning I had higher hopes for it thinking it was bigger then what it was. I still enjoyed all my time with it...minus the really windy days lol. I miss the smaller frame for parking as well as the fuel ecconomy. I normally average...

Re: This may be goodbye
It has been a pleasure having you aboard. I fully understand the desire for something a little larger on that side of the pond. My PCX does me wonders here in Bangkok, but I felt the need for something larger when I am in the US, so I got the '09 Yamaha Majesty 400. It is great for open country rid...

This may be goodbye
The forum here is great Alot of great, helpful people. Learned Alot but may be saying goodbye. Going to look at a 2008 burgman 400 tomorrow as the pcx is just to small and light for sustained riding above 55 mph.. Plus the added storage of the b400 will be great for summer time garage sailing. Was a...

Re: New seat fitted
Does it sit and lower? I'm 5'7" and have a the tallest givi windshield and get bad helmet buffeting, lower seat would help my issue. Would be perfect if it would drop 2 inches or so

Re: got my new 2016 PCX 150 today
70 is pretty reliable for me with NYC variator, 13g rollers, mollassi exhaust and give tall windshield and a 220 pound rider..setup equals mostly 100 mpg tanks too running 50-60 and in town 35 mph or less

Re: Percy the PCX125
God give me strength.... I may have spoken a little bathetically, but I will stand by my statement. I feel almost omnipotent on my little PCX. It is like flying. I am tempted to not have a care in the world. When I ride my bigger machine, at least a little fear is always in the mix and sometimes ev...

Re: Another tire question
I wanted to try and even out the look of the bike by having the same sized tires in front and back instead of the skinny one up front

Re: Age old question - 87 or premium
Manual says 87 for my 2015 and I've played with 87,89and 93 and no difference what so ever between the 3 besides 93 costs Alot more then the 87. Similar mpg and butt Dyno is identical. Save your money, stock pcx will not utilize the higher octane.

Re: Another tire question
They've worked on them there.. I didn't see how it was 100 dollars for the rear... I'm going to assume 20 min tops to take it off the bike by quickly looking at it. Just gonna order stock size since nobody seems to know it the stock rear size will work on the front without modification and because s...

Cycle shop wants 25 bucks just for the front tire and 100 for the rear. Half that if I take rims off bike myself that's with me bringing in my own tiresf :/

Another tire question
I know the front can be fitted with a somewhat larger tire without modification but was curious if a 100/90-14(same as rear tire) could be used as well without modification. It's just enough more money to where I can get free shipping on an order and I think would look nice being evened out same as ...

Re: Theoretical muffler question!
I keep it loud not to annoy people but has helped me appear out to motorists better. Have had less people not take a second look or look up from their stupid phones and not pull out of a parking lot or from a stop sign and almost take me out.. I've gotten very good at blip ping the throttle when I'm...

Definitely a bad idea. With a molassi exhaust without the baffle I've had people give me dirty looks and even be pretty annoyed about it

Re: PCX Mileage and driving style
My last tank averaged 96.8 us mpg(computer said 103), hand calculated running anywhere from 35-65mph and occasion bouts at 70-72mph. When I only had NYC variator and face the bike with similar riding style and less speed I averaged 75-83mpg. I now run the NYC variator and face plate with 13g rollers...
