Another tire question
I know the front can be fitted with a somewhat larger tire without modification but was curious if a 100/90-14(same as rear tire) could be used as well without modification. It's just enough more money to where I can get free shipping on an order and I think would look nice being evened out same as the rear. Does anybody know? I didn't see anything pertaining to this tire size on the front.

Re: Another tire question
go to a cycle shop in town, see if they have a tire of that size that they would let you use to check the fit. Those shops do a lot of tire mounting. You never know what they have lurking in a corner somewhere.

Re: Another tire question
Cycle shop wants 25 bucks just for the front tire and 100 for the rear. Half that if I take rims off bike myself that's with me bringing in my own tiresf :/

Re: Another tire question
I had a rear tire recently mounted for 20$. I removed the tire--very easy with the PCX--and brought it to the shop. I called a few places before I found somebody who would do it for 20$. The rest of them wanted 40. Where does your guy get 100$? Does he know what kind of bike he will be dealing with?fantasy2c wrote:Cycle shop wants 25 bucks just for the front tire and 100 for the rear. Might be including removal. That's a bit of a process.flyingzonker wrote:I had a rear tire recently mounted for 20$. I removed the tire--very easy with the PCX--and brought it to the shop. Re: Another tire question
They've worked on them there.. I didn't see how it was 100 dollars for the rear... I'm going to assume 20 min tops to take it off the bike by quickly looking at it. Just gonna order stock size since nobody seems to know it the stock rear size will work on the front without modification and because shipping is only 9 bucks.. I was guessing it was going to be double that. There's another shop I forgot about I'll probably go to that I didn't call.. Probably do both for 20 bucks or less

Re: Another tire question
I wanted to try and even out the look of the bike by having the same sized tires in front and back instead of the skinny one up front

Re: Another tire question
Try Revzilla.com for tires. They are less expensive than most of the other sites I have checked.

Re: Another tire question
Anyone know what tire size on a 13 inch rim would equate to the same tire outer dimension of the standard 14 inch pcx rim. Looking to change to 13 inch rim but keep same outer dimension ????
