Re: Pcx150 smart key new owner
I have an older PCX - and I know my alarm is pretty useless (put the key in and turn it to cancel!!! No immobiliser... and organised thieves punch into that ignition and twist it in a second... so the alarm doesn't stop theft much. THis new switch looks trickier... and surely beats trying to stick a...

Re: Which Honda cover is best for PCX?
Just be careful. I used a cover for a week, but now I park inside... the main worry is the cover rubbing the paintwork... especially if there's any dirt on the paint and any wind where you're standing. Secondly, if your bike is warm and/or wet the cover will keep moisture inside and help bits to rus...

Re: helmet under seat
I have modular full face and open face helmets, neither of them fit easily where i can throw it in and go. The open face fits if i spend 5 min messing with it, easier to use the hook. 5 minutes shaving corners off? or 5 minutes taking your make-up out and putting it in your handbag? You can o...

Re: YSS rear shocks installed - report
Z-series offset I just found in one shop (not my regular, that was closed) and she asked 2100 baht (58.44 USD). Quality looks good - nice finish, but only red springs. I asked about black or chrome and she gave me a long story about how they're really hard to come by...

Let me ask please this : did anyone thought anything about putting a hook to the plastics under the steering ? I mean something like this : http://www.scootershop.gr/images/03204.JPG SH 300 has one of these OEM, i have put the following to my daughters YAMAHA and i ' m still searching the way to do...

Re: YSS shock plus more ....
n fact the hard hits on bumps that you feel as harshness is the stock shock fully compresses and you hit the limiter. That's just wrong. I feel harshness on bumps and ripples less than 1/2 inch high. It's just nasty. Look at reviews for Forza 125 - on Youtube, a PCX rider (5'5" woman) explains...

Re: What size engine is in my Honda Forza 300?
I usually say it's a 300 to the average person... To the biker types of techy types I say it's only 279cc ;) Such a difficult problem. "It's actually 280cc, pretty good up to 85mph and gets over 60mpg" doesn't work? Or "Bigger and fatter than a Suzuki Burgman, thirstier and with less...

Re: Wider Tires
More than good enough on a smooth, flat road surface. That's not good enough for cross country. Some of us have varied road surfaces, our needs are not always the same.gn2 wrote:Why?dasshreddar wrote:I've been thinking about installing wider than stock tires on a pcx.
The standard size tyres are more than good enough.

Hi, I'm Brad and I live in Jacksonville, FL. I'll be 38 next week, I'm married with a 3 y/o boy and spend a lot of time on the water. My wife and I recently had our 10 yr wedding anniversary and went to Savannah, GA. We rented a 50cc scooter and had a great time. Since then I got my motorcycle endo...

Re: Fatter tyres after motorway scare
In the city the bike is fine, pull away from the lights easy (until the bigger bikes scream behind you) Lolz. I thought it was the scooter riders who were always screaming, wide open throttle, so they can grin because they beat the Lada to the other side of the road. My GSX could go from 0 up to 12...

[quote="Mgalutia88"]A short list of things I thought of for refference to our bikes. I am excluding the stock size knowing better than Honda part here because we do need to keep in mind that the bike was designed for fuel efficiency including the factory installation of "low rolling r...

It is a 2015 model and I have no alarms or anything. Do you know where I can find info about the drain? I don't want to unplug the battery unless I have to. Thanks for your help guys. Much appreciated. why? you pop off the cover for the batt, and use a Phillips screwdriver to disconnect the cable. ...

My PCX have logged over 400 kilometers, is in the running-in period every how many kilometres to replace the engine oil? How many kilometres to replace the gear oil? My motorcycle instruction is Vietnamese, I can't understand... :? Call Honda. I called APHonda in Thailand, and they sent me an A4 ph...

Re: 2014 PCX 150 - speed for best economy
My 2015 seems to get the best fuel economy between 30-35 mph. This---^ Generally speaking the best economy will be had at the fastest speed before invoking air resistance. On a calm day, on level ground, 30-35(mph) is about the best. That would be my guess. It's hot in Bangkok, there isn't much win...

Re: New member out here in Thailand. PCX150
I picked up the grey - though I must admit the red catches my eye mostly. It's nice; I find the matt finish completely improves the perceived shape of the bike. My only negative is the ride - taking my son to school I pass 72 speed bumps - it can't compare to a real bike taking it all in at 60km/h.....

Are the shocks you installed really worth the time? If you road the stock shocks long enough to really note the difference let me know. Sometimes I wonder with 14" wheels if swapping rear shocks is going to be AWESOME-ALRIGHT-MEH! Choose carefully I might add these shocks to my winter teardown...

Re: 600 Mile Trip- To do or not?
I think he's thinking Km there... over 300km per tank, not 300 miles. That equates to about 3 tanks in miles I think.
Still ridiculous - anything over 40km per litre is just gravy.

I have a black n white chinless helmet. The sides fit over my ears snugly and cut noise down - but the visor (always up and with paper stuck inside to shade the sun 'cos it's hot here) does tend to whistle a bit. Big upgrade... similar feeling of losing some weight moving from a bigger bike and I'm ...

Re: Fork Stabilizer
Let us know if it makes any difference. It won't, tis but a cosmetic foible. I can't say I've noticed a huge handling problem - PCX main weaknesses are 1. Low ground clearance getting over a bump at the end of my road (to be solved later with bigger shocks hopefully) and 2. It's a scooter - the eng...
