Naked-Tail Street Fighter PCX150, Love it? Hate It?
Anyone that has disassembled their bodywork would know that underneath the tail plastics of the 2015+ PCX150 there is a BEAUTIFUL black powdercoated OEM seat frame that accentuates the curves that a naked version of the PCX might have had. And while I discovered it a few years ago I never had the co...

Same. picked up a couple at a time. if the washer looks decent i'll use it again. I think in a pinch I've reused about 5 times.

Re: Help!! Stalling Issues PCX150
My scoot is still apart, I've cleaned again every connector that I could find inside with Halfords contact cleaner now. I tried then to start the engine and running it for about 10min till it warmed up. The revs kept steady at 1500, which was not the case before. Have to put it all together now and...

Re: Help!! Stalling Issues PCX150
Hey All, just wanted to do a quick update on this! I found out my PCX had 2 months of warranty left, so I brought it in and they discovered it may have been not the IACV itself, but the connector inside that was a little corroded so they took it out and cleaned it. They also mentioned they reset the...

Re: Just rollers vs complete variator
Scooty is your speed from speedo or GPS? I ask because no body seems interested in J Costa but they will do 125 KPH/78 mph (indicated) on the flat and 128/80mph slightly downhill. On a 125! Stock belt simply bolt it on. Heavy rider knocks that down about 3 kph. Hmm, like all things I've heard split...

Re: Help!! Stalling Issues PCX150
Update:
The valve adjustment didn't help.
The bike is still under warranty for 2 months, PHEW! I'm bringing it in after I've had a chance to remove the sliders - just so they can't say that I broke it.

Re: Just rollers vs complete variator
Thanks Scooty, That's a very comprehensive post you put together there, and I appreciate the feedback. It seems the 2015 LED doesn't quite have the gearing as the older 2012 OWL does. Regardless, I'll see how I go with just the sliders while I try and chase acceleration. At this point I feel I need...

Re: Help!! Stalling Issues PCX150
Are you out of warranty? I probably should have started with this, because it's a 2015 and it's only 2016! :( In any case, I've got my fingers crossed that the valve adjustment I performed this weekend will keep the CEL from coming on. I'm not exactly sure how it could be related, but my short 3 mi...

Re: Just rollers vs complete variator
Drats, I wish I saw this thread earlier because I've had the sliders, NCY Variator + Drive face, in all possible configurations. I'm not exactly sure what the general consensus was in the earlier posts, but here was my progression of it: 1) Stock everything with used belt, I was topping out at 62-63...

Re: 5k Service and less than a year old
Personally, most of that stuff is do-it-yourself-able depending on your mechanical proclivities. One thing I never would have attempted in the past with a car is change the tire, but now with a scooter I purchased a manual tire changer and have been saving money for the long run.

Re: Comfort shock absorbers
I can't speak about the Ohlins, but I have the g-series XL YSS from bikerzbits. It took literally like 3 months for surface transportation to get here but the feel was night and day. much better shock absorption and no more bottoming out.
Highly recommended and SUPER easy to install.

Re: Engine light error code... 2 long flashes, 9 short!
just putting my 2 cents on this very old thread, but the manual states that 2 long flashes = 10 short flashes. So 2 + 9 = 29 which is indeed an IACV error.

Re: Help!! Stalling Issues PCX150
Thanks so much for all the input guys. Last night, I got really fed up after tearing the entire bike down and realizing it's not going to be an easy fix. The last remaining things for me to check are valve adjustment, TP sensor, but rather than do all that, I think I'm just going to see if the deal...

I try not to use the shutter because honestly, if someone wants it they're just going to throw it in their truck.
