Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX
I'm at 4,560 mi on my 2021 bought new in Sept of that same year. I've only changed oil twice, once at 600mi, once at 4,500mi. Changed final drive oil. Adjusted the rear brake by a turn on the nut. Just got done checking valves (they didn't need any adjustment). I'm at 102,000 kilometres. One repair...

Re: Access the CBS master cyIinder: a work-around to the man
Hello PXC-in-japan San... It is a bit confusing, but on the 2015PCX there are three inner covers. The real COVER, INNER (81131-K35-V00) and an OUTER, R. INNER COVER (81138-K35-V00) and an OUTER, L. INNER COVER (81139-K35-V00). The later has to be removed first. They come out as reverse order, so le...

Re: Finding a post I commented on in the past.
In my haste, I decided to try to take off both panels to access the combined brake master cylinder... and broke them both. I strongly suggest you do not follow the video I posted. For me, no worries, it's a 100,000 kilometre commuting machine, and as long as it is mechanically sound, I am not worrie...

Finding a post I commented on in the past.
Hello, all. Long time no see. A while back someone replied to me with info that I now need rather urgently. So I need to find the post in which I read the reply. Can you give me a hand doing that, please? Or... if you happen to be better with the search tool on the forum than I seem to be, and you c...

Re: How-To Video: Brake Fluid Change
Just removed panel surrounding glove box as shown in the video. Broke two body colored tabs and one yellow one. Now searching for how to remove these panels "properly" as it were. Manual sends me all over the place, referring to one page then another and then back on itself. Saw a post her...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX
Hello, all. I have a 2015 / 150cc PCX which this week will do its 100,000th kilometre, or its 62,000th mile. I never scrimp on servicing costs, always buying genuine Honda parts. If you'd like to see the "likely" (or my idea of reasonable) maintenance over that time and distance, click the...

Re: How-To: PCX 150 CVT MAINTENANCE - 25,000 miles
The clips are annoying. I think I broke the same one when doing valves recently. I plastic welded it back on, but I'm sure it will break again. You may not have mentioned grease on the weights, but I've seen people suggest this. I think it's best to use very little grease on the drive pulley area a...

Re: Rain stops the 2015 PCX150 engine.
It was the coil. Though I do my own routine maintenance, I do not a have pro's skill for problem analysis and am not skilled with electrics. Cost me 11,000 yen, about maybe 110 USD, including labour for a new one fitted. Less than expected. Though I have just spent 55,000 yen on a 100% parts refresh...

Re: How-To: PCX 150 CVT MAINTENANCE - 25,000 miles
This post is helpful. But you don't need to remove the side panel You should be able to get a small socket wrench onto the three bolts on the CVT cover (the front one is the hardest) and from there continue as you show. It saves time and less chance of damage to side cover. I don't put grease on th...

2015 PCX 150 fork oil change.
Hi, all. Perhaps my searching technique is bad, but I cannot find any posts on this anywhere in the forum, though fork oil is mentioned in many posts. I have made a few tutorial PDFs and Google photo sets of jobs I have done, and once I get the basic process for this, I will try it and make another ...

Re: Front forks seem to be pogo-ing
Hi all, https://imgur.com/tMbl279 Here is a video of me pushing down on the front forks. Watch the lights on the right side. I've already changed to heavier 20W fork oil but the problem still remains. Could the springs be spoilt or something? Thanks all. Hi. Any chance you took photos of the work d...

Re: Minor crash
]People turning left in front of you and not seeing you, accounts for almost 80% of all the accidents that bikes are involved in. In addition to the couple actions you noted above, I would add some fork lights to the front forks, easy to do, a lot of us here are using the Kawell light off Amazon .....

Re: Rain stops the 2015 PCX150 engine.
Left in with a pro mechanic this time.
Apparently it seems to be fuel tank related.
I see no one had any ideas about it thus far.
Will update as fully as possible when I get the bike.

Re: PCX won't start
There’s nothing you can do , it was just a bad stator, Yamaha’s had a few of those on the 2018 X max… Yeah, my 2017 Tmax 530 DX bought new in autumn 2018 and with only 2,000 kilometers on the clock does not start. Should never have traded in my 2013 V-strom with only 27,000 kilos on it and in perfe...

Let us know what you find. Cheers dankly Thank you very much. Been too busy to check this si...

Re: How-To: PCX 150 CVT MAINTENANCE - 25,000 miles
what are the torque specs of cvt? the variator and clutch nut? I tighten them all by hand without a torque wrench. I use a long socket wrench giving me plenty of leverage. In another thread recently I detailed how I had presumably not tightened the variator nut enough about 10,000 kilometres previo...

Re: How-To: PCX 150 CVT MAINTENANCE - 25,000 miles
Superb right up. If only more people did this with the jobs they undertook. How's the bikes wheel bearings, head stock bearings and swing arm bearings holding up after that milage ? Just curious. Guessing the forks and shocks need a rebuild at that milage too As of summer 2022, I have replaced the ...
