Re: Seat change
I'm curious if this seat eliminates the ridge that I've been having problems with since I removed the hump. I don't know how to add a post from another thread here, but here's a link to that thread and my question is on the 2nd page. It's the picture with the white arrows pointing to the ridge. I'm ...

Re: Gear oil change...
so oil is supposed to flow out from the check bolt when its at correct level? How can you fill it past this level and get the bolt back on before it spills out. Or does the manual mean to say to fill it up to lower edge of hole.

Re: Oil leak, or normal?
1 more thing, it's been a while since I installed a givi e370 topbox. But how do you take this connector off? Does it pry off, or is it locked in somehow?
this picture shows the same type connector, and I just don't want to break or damage it.

Re: powerbypcx seats?
I have an entirely different seat from powerbypcx.com but the one thing I noticed was that the plastic frame was different from what is on the 150. That may be the reason it can be modified to so many different formats. We bought the one that sits very low because my wife is short. Some of the othe...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
I've got my PCX150 tweaked, except for the seat! I didn't like the little hump, so I took it off, and had a local upholstery guy fill the hole with foam and recover. But where it was filled in was kind of a hump, and it was not comfortable on long rides! I'm thinking of ordering one from Thailand P...

Re: routine 2 riders
I bought my 150 Saturday to carry on the back of our small RV. I had a Ninja 500, but it exceeded the tongue weight and bottomed out the springs even after installing airbags. (Plus is got heavier each year to push it up the carrier ramp.) The PCX weighs 140lbs less than the Ninja. We will be ridin...

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
no loss in power. dealer about 12 miles away, and even drove it wot for a little bit, doing around 65mph. the knocking is heard when stopped, can't hear or notice anything else while driving. i think it'l be best just leave it there, get it done, and take it even slower next time i dig into it, mayb...

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
i just tried this and i think i messed it up. The intake was about .13 and the exhaust was good. I adjusted and closed it to .10 on feeler gauge, tightened up, and put it back together. Started fine, but after about a minute it started to knock. Since it took me while to take it apart, and put it ba...

Re: How to: Oil Change for Honda PCX
Hello EddieC and thank you for sharing your "how to" with us :) I had my laptop nearby while doing the job. May I just suggest that in your opening of 1, 2, 3, etc. steps, that you preface it with something like this: protect floor if need be (i.e. corrugated cardboard or ?) Place bike on...

Re: Xena Disc Lock Alarm (XX6 model)
is this type of alarm, disc mount type, meant for 'overnight', i mean i imagine the disc is very hot if you were to use this for a quick trip to the store, or throughout the day on several stops? i store ours in our garage, but am looking at an alarm for use during the day, and found some gorilla br...

Re: routine 2 riders
picked up the red 150 yesterday. thanks for all input and opinions, i think this will do fine, me and wife drove around neighborhood last night and it feels like it has enough power, we didn't go all open throttle so i don't know where we'll top out at, but we did get to about 45 or so pretty easily...

Re: routine 2 riders
I suppose comfort is relative, what one person is happy with another may not. Having owned a PCX for the best part of two years and ridden it over 10,000 miles I find myself unable to recommend it for anything other than a city runabout. It just doesn't have the performance or fuel range for a regu...

Re: routine 2 riders
thanks for the info everyone. I would definitely give more thought to other scooters if our primary use was pleasure with 2 up for long drives. But our one way commute would be about 35-45 minutes, so i think any discomfort would be pretty brief. I've been browsing the top boxes, and it looks like t...

Re: routine 2 riders
gn2, are you referring to seat design, or just both riders being squished together? or more for the passenger? maybe a top box with backrest can alleviate a little bit of the uncomfort?
