2013 v 2016 LED Lights
My wife wants to add LED headlights to her 2013 after seeing my 2016 driving in the dark. I've poked around the forum and see that several folks have added LED light strips near the forks, which seems like a simple addition. My only question is how does the wiring work? And, how do you turn them off...

Re: What is this?
Good stuff, folks. Thanks for all the input on the knob.
Probably going to try and remove it and cover the holes. I figure a tank bag would cover the holes anyway, right?

Re: What is this?
Ok... Mystery solved.
I had the service tech take a look around the wiring. It led to a wiring harness (relay) that appears to have managed some type of light bar. Go figure.

Re: What is this?
The picture was taken at the dealer so I'm not sure what bike is in the background.
I wondered about kicking it as well and preventing a tank bag from fitting well in that space. I'm still hoping it provides passage to a secret scooter power though.

Re: What is this?
I just knew one of you guys would know right off the bat. It is a dial-type button. I'm having the dealer do the 5k service on it before taking possession so I can't trace the wire just yet. At the dealer, I push and pulled on it, but nothing appeared to happen. No parachute, no lights, no sounds. I...

What is this?
My father-in-law gave us our 2013 PCX earlier this year. We love it. We love it so much the wife wanted her own. So, we just found a used 2016 locally and bought it yesterday. There is what appears to be a rheostat affixed near the gas tank. Any idea what this is for or why someone installed it? (Tr...

Re: How much did you pay for your PCX?
$0. Gifted to me by the father-in-law. She is stock with 5k miles on her. Clean. Some sun damage on the stock seat (with the hump still on). My battery compartment area is broken as well. She needs a 5k service. Trying to determine if I am brave enough to do it myself or pay the Honda dealer to do i...

Re: New Owner - 2013 PCX
Picked up the scooter yesterday. She is in great shape, which is a relief. My father-in-law didn't make any mods on the bike from what I can tell. The hump on the seat is there still even. Curious, what is the benefit of a large windshield? I see lots of folks riding with one, but I'm not exactly su...

Re: New Owner - 2013 PCX
Homie - what is the tank bag you have on your 2015 in the Youtube video? Also, what helmet is that in the video at the train station (it is like a matte black)?

Re: New Owner - 2013 PCX
So your father-in-law put 5,000 miles on it but didn't improve it by way of seat or tail box? I'm surprised. The big advantage of a scooter is storage, and the more the merrier. Hopefully he did add a taller windshield than it normally comes with. I have a little over 5k on my bike and it is set up...

Re: New Owner - 2013 PCX
The YouTube channel is a great resource! Thanks for sharing. I might be able to do a lot more with the scooter with those on hand. [/quote] Well you could inquire if the maintenance has been kept up like the valve clearance check. Or you could use the SM I PMed you to follow something like my youtub...

Got it!
Thanks for sharing. Yeah, I figured I might just take it to the dealer to get a look over.

New Owner - 2013 PCX
After researching all the different scooters on the market today, I decided on a Honda PCX 150. Asked my father-in-law if he knew anything about them since I knew he had a scooter, turns out he has a PCX himself. In addition, they are moving and offered it to me for free! As a result, I'm a proud ne...
