Re: 2013 PCX Dash Lights stopped working
The LEDs are definitely bad. I can't replace them as they are surface mount LEDs and I don't have the necessary tools to do that. The whole dash assembly would have to come apart. Looks like an LED mod is in the future. I have some cool purple ones coming in soon.

2013 PCX Dash Lights stopped working
On my dash, all the lights work EXCEPT the LEDs for the Speedometer. Has anyone had this issue and tried to replace the LEDs or other repair to add lights for the Speedometer? I'm thinking of adding a couple 3mm LEDs tied to a hot wire from the headlight low beam or some other location that goes hot...

Re: Topbox instead of pillion seat?
I didn't like the look of the rack and box sitting out in mid air behind the scoot. So, I use two straps to hold my top box to the pillion. I cut two sliced on the seat base and run the strap through those holes to keep the box from moving around. It's not permanent and the box becomes a back rest f...

Re: What tools are NEEDED???
I will have to do an inventory to see what tools I have used on my bike in the past. I have only had one occasion where I had to tear down and fix my bike on the road, but I was lucky because I thought it possible that it might give me problems. If your belt goes while you are riding you are going ...

Re: What tools are NEEDED???
Thanks for all the replies!! From what I can see, a basic socket set and the two Impact sockets should do me just fine.
You You, what would be a fairly inexpensive motorcycle ramp? I've looked at a lift, but that's just too much for occasional usage.
I guess I'll look around.

Re: What tools are NEEDED???
Hey, Mel. Thanks for the response!! I'm looking at the Ryobi Battery impact. It has 1,600 in-lbs of torque. That should take care of just about anything. I'm just trying to figure out the tools I'll NEED without carrying a bunch of extras. Like what are all the socket sizes on the PCX. I don't want ...

What tools are NEEDED???
After "losing" the majority of my tools, I am trying to figure out a good list of the tools I NEED for my 2013 PCX 150. I know the basics, but I am planning a PCX Tool Box, so I only want to include the tools that are used on the PCX. I plan to include a cordless Impact Driver, 4-way screw...

Re: Do You Play? An instrument
I do, but not like I used to. For a few years, made my living was a union musician in LA and Las Vegas. Toured a lot, and opened for some oldies groups (opened for the Coasters..) ahem, a '50s' group. I still 'pick' these things up and keep 'em tuned in case I run into another old fart that plays. ...

I did a little metal detecting years ago. Then I starting geocacheing, too.
Now, I don't get around too well and gave both of them up.
Good luck on your finds!!

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach
A transistor can also be used as an alternative to a relay.
The low current would be applied to the base of the transistor
and the higher current device would be connected through the Emitter/Collector pins.
All Grounds would be common in this case.
Just another option.

Re: Mod my horn for easier reach
That thing in the middle of the handlebar sounds like a really bad idea. I usually find i want to horn at the same time as breaking hard because some idiot is doing a foolish thing in front of me- no way i would loosen my grip on the brakes even for a fraction of a second in that case. I agree with...

Here's how I mounted my top box.
The top box was $37 from walmart dot com.
And it works as a backrest, too.

Re: Backrest for PCX150
Because I ride solo, I mounted my top box on the pillion and it works as a nice back rest.
I plan to add a lumbar pad to it and make it even more comfortable.

Re: Fact or Fiction ????
Think of the auto stop/start from a safety standpoint.
If something happens to be coming your direction, would you rather have the engine running
so you can maneuver out of the way, or have to wait for the engine to start before you can
get out of the way?
I'll keep the motor runnin'!!

Mining for lithium is not as environmentally friendly as people think. Bill Nye isn't a scientist, he is a mechanical engineer. His ideas regarding science would be like a biologist welding together the frame of your scooter. Autonomous Vehicles will not replace personal vehicles except maybe in urb...

Re: Life is Going to the Dogs. . .But in a Good Way!
Judging by the angle of the shadows and the lack of intensity of those shadows, it appears to be an overcast day. So, I don't think the pavement would be too hot, but judgment should be taken into consideration. Also, look at sled dogs, they are in a harsh environment, but do quite well pulling a sl...

Cops sitting outside while children are being massacred should make you angry.
Politicians and celebrities being protected by firearms while our children are "protected" by a "Gun Free Zone" sign should make you angry.
What criminal obeys laws or signs?
