Re: Bits in the transmission
Be sure to tell the shop about the drain bolt not wanting to thread back in. It looks like it COULD be threads from the casing the drain & fill plugs thread into - like someone overtightened it and stripped the threads (some of which then galled into the bolt threads which is why it doesn't want...

Re: Master fuse to cut all power to scooter?
Edit: Is there a way to test for power draw while the bike is off with a multimeter? Like testing voltage of battery or another mode to use with a multimeter that could tell me if there is indeed something that's drawing power while the bike is switched off? Disconnect one wire from the battery, pu...

Re: PCX150 initial valve adjustment ?
You can reuse it but it (or a new one) needs a dab of silicone gasket sealer at a specific location ...... see the maintenance manual or videos. Don't over tighten the little nuts.

Re: check spark plug
Just make sure that when beginning to insert the new plug to use your fingers to get the thread started - don't use any sort of wrench until it's threaded in and seated. This avoids cross-threading.

Re: HELP! Coolant Drain Plug snapped off inside the hole
If you don’t have an electric drill it means your tools are relatively sparse. Take it to a body shop or an auto repair place and they can have it out in 30 seconds with an EZ out tool. Order a new plug before you take this one out. It turns out my girlfriends dad has a drill. I'm probably just goi...

Re: 2016 Honda PCX 150 valve adjustment
I'm on cappra's side on this one. If the service manual says to do a maintenance item I am going to do it. I don't like taking chances, and as an added bonus, each maintenance item I do teaches me more about my scoot. This could come in handy when I do the Scooter Cannonball Run in 2023 :D . Hey go...

Re: High Coolant Temp. On! Whitish smoke on the muffler! Check Engine light is on!
I'd suspect a blown head gasket. Don't ride it. Call the dealer and describe the symptoms as you did in you post. They need to pick it up & replace, I'd demand a new scoot.

Re: Does my bike need an annual service if it's only done 1,500 miles?
Exactly as the title says. I have a 2018 PCX, which has only done 1,500 miles since its last service last November (from 4,000 miles up to 5,500). Do I still need a minor service (oil and filter), or shall I wait until I hit the suggested interval of 8,000 miles? Many thanks. Alot depends on how it...

Re: How-To: Oil Change For Honda PCX
Some mfgrs use the term "energy conserving" to refer to synthetic oil, others use it in reference to their thinner oil weight such as 5-20, others to refer to an additive they use. If you use a quality synthetic 10-30 motor oil like the manual says you'll be fine. If no 10-30 is available,...

Re: Is this too much engine oil?
Smell the oil, does it smell like gas? Yes I was just about to tell you about it. I smelled the oil on the dipstick. It did indeed smell like petrol. Maybe we're on to something. Perhaps I should follow your advice and order a new fuel injector. Does the oil seem thinned out like there's fuel in it...

The container says “2T” doesn’t it ? So it’s for a 2 stroke gas - oil mix engine.
