Re: 30,000 mile update......
You don't need to check the valves, you don't need to worry about every little thing, chances are the ridiculous things you think you hear are actually inside your head. Buy it, run the piss out of it and it will continue to go.

Re: 75 mpg on new pcx normal?
Don't forget to check your tire pressure often, it has a big impact on mpg.

Re: 30,000 mile update......
I have no idea what the Japanese manual says, nor do I care. The fact that experienced mechanics in countries in which the PCX is so prevalant don't bother to check the valves unless there's a reason, to me, says a lot. Those are the guys who live it every day, they've seen it all. My PCX has 30,000...

Re: 30,000 mile update......
I'm getting 8-10k miles on a rear tire and 13-15k on the front. I never had a belt failure or problem, just changed the belt when I'd lose 4-5 mph.

Re: 30,000 mile update......
I change the oil every 3-4K miles. Just put on my third belt. Changed front disk and break pads at 27,000 miles because I let the break pads go too long. There is some wear on my stock variator that limits me to about 66 mph that I need to address. I know variators are a highly objectionable topic h...

30,000 mile update......
It's been 2yrs and 3 months since I purchased a 2013 PCX150 and am happy to report after 30,000 absolutely trouble free miles, I could not be more pleased with my purchase, still averaging 100 mpg. Michellin City Grips are a must when it comes time for new rubber. Just wanted to give an update about...

Re: Riding Tips
As for the "Oh Shit" moments, often times the safest option is to lay ur bike down in a controlled slide. Good luck doing that with anti-lock brakes. The downside to ABS is you're not going have much biker cred from any near misses where you simply came to a controlled stop and then rode ...

Re: Daytime Riding with High Beam?
The fact is accidents happen everyday, doesn't matter scooter, car, or truck. There's a certain percentage of people on the road that just don't pay attention. I don't know about the rest of the world, but in the US if you're on 2 wheels your headlight must be on at all times. Running with your high...

Re: looking for advise
Hello everyone... I'm new to the forum here and hope to be a part of the PCX family before long. Here is what I'm looking at. I own a couple of bikes already but was wanting to get a scooter to ride to work and for trips into town. It is 17 miles one way the roads are 55mph two lane roads. I was wo...

But will it be faster than a PCX? And how will it handle?[/quote]
It's definitely quicker as far as acceleration than a PCX150, can't comment on top speed as I didn't get to it.

Re: Daytime Riding with High Beam?
I always ride with my high beams on. Day time riding it does nothing other than make you more visible, night riding I still keep high beams on until I get a flash from another motorist or am following another car on a single lane road at night. You're on a small ride, it's important to be seen.

Re: It finally happened
At about 2,800 miles I discovered a cut in my rear tire that went into the sidewall. Trying to save a buck the service manager at the dealership I am employed at submitted a warranty claim, no dice. We were both amazed at the wear after that few miles (it needed to be replaced). Replaced it with a C...

Don't be afraid of the miles. I have 23,000 miles on my 2013 PCX150 that I also use as a daily commuter, runs and rides like when it was new. Ask if he they have any maintenance records. If not, and it starts and rides smoothly, who cares it's a bulletproof Honda. I say buy it.

You don't live here so your ignorance of how things work here really isn't a surprise. You are absolutely correct. I have no idea what it's like living in YOUR world, thank goodness the vast majority of people don't. One thing I do know, an a-hole is an a-hole regardless of where you live, and I ca...
