You don't need to check the valves, you don't need to worry about every little thing, chances are the ridiculous things you think you hear are actually inside your head. Buy it, run the piss out of it and it will continue to go.

Don't forget to check your tire pressure often, it has a big impact on mpg.

I have no idea what the Japanese manual says, nor do I care. I'm getting 8-10k miles on a rear tire and 13-15k on the front. I never had a belt failure or problem, just changed the belt when I'd lose 4-5 mph.

I've never had the valves checked or adjusted.

It's definitely quicker as far as acceleration than a PCX150, can't comment on top speed as I didn't get to it.

I always ride with my high beams on. Day time riding it does nothing other than make you more visible, night riding I still keep high beams on until I get a flash from another motorist or am following another car on a single lane road at night. You're on a small ride, it's important to be seen.

Don't be afraid of the miles. I have 23,000 miles on my 2013 PCX150 that I also use as a daily commuter, runs and rides like when it was new. Ask if he they have any maintenance records. If not, and it starts and rides smoothly, who cares it's a bulletproof Honda. I say buy it.
