Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
If speed differences are caused by a bigger tire circumference, the differences should be a percentage. Not "4mph everywhere". If the tire circumference is 10% bigger, the speedo error should be 33 mph at 30, 44 mph at 40, 55 mph at 50, and, 66 mph at 60. Sendler this is where you are wro...

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
so you gained 2mph everywhere? if so not too bad I guess the Pirellis are taller than the Michelins... Try this test with your max speed on the gps,... go cruise at 20mph (speedo indicated, don't go over the 20 line) and see what your max speed gps is (mine 24mph). Try again across the board 30 40 5...

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
Hello :? remove the center stand  My 140 gives me an extra 4mph everywhere... so not so sure about your findings? tire pumped up? 30 ish psi. Glad you like the handling so far... for me the "ride" quality outweighs the "accel/weight negatives". thinking of a 90 front and a 1...

Re: Takegawa Power Silent Oval INSTALLED!!
Sendler, believe me when I say I want to try that! It's just that if I don't like it, I've ruined a $60-80 pipe (current ebay value). Although who knows what the demand is for a stock exhaust on a scooter! Also, my goal is not just performance, but weight savings. My idea for fabbing up a custom on...

Re: Side stand or center stand when you park your bike?
Doesn't matter..., but the 2011 models have weak center stand mounts (don't sit on the bike with the center stand down if you have a 2011 pcx, it might just break).

I agree MCsuperstore is a great place for tires etc. Those big tires will shrink after you get them on those tiny rims  Homie your valve adjust question...? just use a small screwdriver and a small wrench/crescent wrench, unless you don't have a screwdriver slot use another tiny wrench/your fin...

don't forget to use a GPS... your top speed should be raised 4 mph, and you will GAIN smoothness and greatnesshomie wrote:I will be squeezing in the oversized 120/70 & 140/70-14's then make my same bench run to see what I lost.

I would try a new sensor first, since your old sensor temporarily worked.

Size and flavor, that is up to you...
Where will you buy your tires from?(what sizes do they have in stock?)
I would go with Michelin or Pirelli, not IRC.

Yes, search for my tire posts... the front fender is ok, but the rear fender(inner) needs to be trimmed or stretched out of the way a little.

GO BIG or GO HOME
If you ride on rough roads you might want to consider bigger tires...
(lose some performance, but gain some MPH)(mpk whatever )

8) :) I see your feet are going to be way up front... how far forward do you think the "nose" will be? Are you going to keep the stock headlight/position? p.s. I can ride at that seat height by sitting on my "floorboard". Very interesting riding perspective at that level  (h...

Re: Gas to put in my PCX 150
The pcx 150 owners manual says (PON)86 or higher octane... whatever "PON" is? I've been using 91 all the time, but I would be curious to see the results, if any, if you did 87 one week 91 another week etc... Where was that guy getting his 92 from? Old Post... been using 87 since... works ...

Re: Another tire change / Input thread
great DIY :D If I lived in Seattle I would want fresh tires all the time too ;) I would not worry about balancing them..., only if there are weird vibrations that weren't there before. My tires aren't balanced and they ride fine. To break my beads I use one of those cheap red Amazon tire changers. A...

The "metal bar" is still there sort of... it just has a plastic cover over the top. try that
