Switch from sport bike to scooter?
So my Ninja 650 I was riding on got totaled, but I will be getting a check from the other guy's insurance who hit me (thank god). But anyways, if I buy another motorcycle, I am considering the scooter route. I tried the Burgman 400 and the Honda Forza and so far, the Forza is a bit small and feels l...

test drove the suzuki burgman400
So test drove the Suzuki Burgman and I like it alot coming from a Ninja 650. It has the nimbleness, yet it is still roomy enough and large enough to go on the freeway. I just wonder if the Forza would feel similar or close even though it's only 300cc. I really like the Forza's look and I like that i...

Is Honda Forza PCX good for LA traffic?
So I crashed my Ninja 650 in LA from some guy who made a left turn in front of me. It's his fault and his insurance company will be paying for the damages, but my bike is totaled so it's likely just going to be me getting a check for what the bike is worth. But before my crash, I considered getting ...

Re: How much did you guys pay?
If its in good condition and lowish mileage the Reflex makes more sense. Cheaper and you can keep it longer as will be better for distance riding on faster roads I would think. Well I looked at it and it had about 3500 miles. But it definitely looked old like someone left it outside because the sea...

Re: So close to getting a scooter
Well, I work for my parents now and I have about $11,000 in the bank. I do accounts receivables. To pay rent, bills, food, and everything else on my own will that be enough to be independent assuming I can find a new job away from them? Because I will be fired if I have a motorcycle. I have been liv...

Re: Mom allows "scooter"
Well, my mom has changed her mind which I am not surprised. She either was reluctant when she made this deal or she plan to lie to me when she saw I was serious to buy the thing. Because my dad suddenly bailed out on the promise so I have no idea why we spent the whole afternoon motorcycle shopping....

So close to getting a scooter
Last month I came to a compromise with my parents to let me buy a scooter because they will never let me have a motorcycle while they're still alive. But got my mom to say okay to the scooter. So last night I really believed my dad was gonna let me buy my own scooter and he came along with me to giv...

Re: How much did you guys pay?
I paid $3449, plus Indiana sales tax, plus $25 title fee. No dealer charges or set up fees or anything like that. Before I bought my PCX I test drove a Honda Helix and tried out but did not drive a Reflex. Both of those bikes seemed way too big for me. The asking price for the Helix was $1700 and t...

Re: scooter meet tonight
I've joined a wild scooter club, mostly middle aged like me. This weekend was a 100 mile round trip ride with a bbq and home made gingerbread biscuits. As I said totally wild ;) You did 100 miles on a PCX150 scooter? So did you take interstate highways or country roads? I live in Southern CA in OC ...

Re: New Member in Arizona
Nice how much did you pay for it out the door? I'm trying to figure out what the fair price is and if you're happy what you paid. Also, will it be able to handle those fast suburban roads or interstate? I live in OC in Southern CA so that will be my riding area. May consider doing trips to LA at mos...

Re: scooter meet tonight
I mentioned about joining a motorcycle group to my mom and she assumed they do crazy things. So does this bike group go out wrecking havoc on public roads doing wheelies and dodging cars? Or is there hope for law abiding motorcycle groups that have people who share the passion for motorcycles and ri...

Re: Mom allows "scooter"
JetFalcon, Hi. I'm wondering, how confident are "you" about riding a motorized 2 wheeler? This thread is baffling me, honestly. "I'm not" getting it? I'm pretty confident. I have a 50cc gas powered beach cruiser. It's a great ride, but it's more on the toy side. It can on...

How much did you guys pay?
So this will be my first time buying an automobile (motorcycle) with my own money and I have no idea how this differs from say purchasing a snowboard setup for $500. Because there's licensing and paperwork. So how much did you guys pay for your Honda PXC 150? The dealer I went to said it will be in ...

Re: Impressions from the first ride on the PCX.
So you said you taken on the highway, but then it's not good for interstate? Well, this is my main concern for the bike because I need to use interstate freeways like I-5 or I-405 if I want to go to the next city. The bike was comfortable to straddle at the dealership and I would consider buying the...

Re: Mom allows
I think it is the perfect first bike for you. Nice storage space under the seat for some bits for the beach. A more relaxed ride than a small motorbike and you will hqve a lot of fun too. Learn the basics and once you are 18 move up to something bigger. Surely when you are of that age you are not g...

Re: Mom allows "scooter"
And as far as the sport bikes are concerned, remember that you'll be shifting gears manually and storage is pretty much nonexistent on a sport bike...as is wind and weather protection. I also find them much less comfortable... scooters just make much better commuters, IMO. I THINK the Ninja 250 and...

Mom allows "scooter"
So I have been wanting a motorcycle for a long time now and recently I convinced my mom to allow me to buy a scooter with my own money. It was a long hard battle because she's just another motorcycle hating mom. I think the Honda PCX 150 is pretty cool, but my dad says 250-300 cc is plenty and that'...
