Re: Ditch the Expense of Car/Truck/SUV Ownership and . . ..
As I have mentioned in the past, we recently moved out of the county we had lived in for over 30 years. We are now quite a distance from everything we grew to love in that county. However, one of the things we don't miss is all of the Suburbans and spinoffs from it. It seemed like every family with ...

Only occasionally do I see an actual, original Mini driving around here in the Atlanta area, and I am always impressed that it is still running.

Re: How to remove cleaning spray stains from paint work...!?
I hate to say it but that looks like staining, and it won't come out. Some agents, such as brake fluid will stain and discolor white paint by changing the color base. Check with a good paint shop to see if that is what happened. Also keep in mind that the base color of the unpainted panels is black,...

I am glad that you found the problem. Electrical problems can be difficult to troubleshoot.
I have had more than my share of them, and the best way I have found to isolate them is to disconnect related connectors to see if you can isolate the problem.

10,000 miles?! I won't even go that long in our car! Isn’t that pushing the oil to its limit?gn2 wrote:Some Triumph motorcycles go 10,000 miles between oil changes.Mel46 wrote:I have read that synthetic oil can go 7,500 miles between changes

Re: Best Oil to use
To me, if it meets the minimum requirements Honda recommends, and it is synthetic, it should be fine. The key is changing it . If you don't change it, your engine is screwed. I have read that synthetic oil can go 7,500 miles between changes, but I stick to the 3,000 mile rule for peace of mind. It i...

And then there are those who accept that idea because they don't want the responsibility of taking care of themselves. Growing up is such a hassle.

Re: Glove compartment box won't close
I am trying to figure out the pictures. Is picture #3 the door itself? If it is then it looks like the plastic latch is broken. Is picture #2 one of the outer plastic body covers? Like I said, it is a little difficult to determine from the pictures. However, usually the black part is the inside of t...

Re: Is this a capacitor and how to change it
When you are working on electrical problems the first thing to do is to isolate the problem by unplugging any connections associated with that wire bundle. Quite a few times the problem has been water in one of the connectors. This is a common problem in wet climates. WD-40 was made just for that pr...

Re: Is this a capacitor and how to change it
With a little work you can locate exactly where that feed through connector is. Most of the wiring is in plug in sections, for easy replacement by Honda mechanics. When I bought my PCX a mouse or two had made a home in my bike while it was in the shipping crate. The mechanics unplugged the chewed up...

So which Soul comes with leather seats...any of them?? I test drove one that had electric drivers seat, which was great, but it had cloth seats. Dogs have claws...and they get car sick, so having cloth seats could be a problem. Our leather seats are much more comfortable than any of the other model-...

Re: Ditch the Expense of Car/Truck/SUV Ownership and . . ..
Interestingly enough, I measured our garage last night (the inside where a car would be parked). I did this because the entrances seem so small and I wondered if they could be expanded. Our 2008 Sonata clears the mirrors by inches on each side when we back out, so I wondered if a newer one would cle...

Speaking of cages, we considered a Honda Fit, but it didn't fit. We might consider a Kia Soul. It has more soul, and comes with some bigger than life hamsters. :P We know that we will have to get a second car soon but the pandemic and our dogs' health are stretching our retirement income right...

When I was in the Antarctic we had bunny boots. They really, really work well. You should consider getting some if you are going to ride in those kinds of temperatures.

Re: Glove compartment box won't close
Check to see if the latch is broken? On the 2013 model there is a piece of metal that acts as a latch on the door itself. The "catch" on the panel is just the plastic lip itself. If someone pulled too hard on the handle, the plastic could break. It is a simple mechanism, so check both part...

Oh, but if I were only younger! When I was younger we had air cooled engines and motorcycles that needed to be shifted into gear before the fun started. The only "real" scooters were the Vespas, which just DIDN'T LOOK LIKE ADVENTURE BIKES! An ADV of either engine size would have been...

Auyx, Would you mind going into your profile and adding your general location, please? This forum is international so your model could be a little different than say, mine. Honda modified their bikes for each area they were sold in, in order to meet various government regulations, and even changed t...

Re: Will the Forza 350 Ever Reach the U.S.?
I will play the devil's advocate here. There is still a surplus of previous model Forzas in the various showrooms. I don't know that Honda would want to compete against its own stock, and I don't know if dealers that still have older stock want another model to crowd their storage space. Still, a 35...
