It's been a good 1,900 miles
Hi Well I passed my mod 2 a couple of weeks back on an Kawasaki er6n and after a period of restraint decided to go for a used low mileage Yamaha XJ6 to continue my biking experience. I will be test riding one on Monday (already put down a refundable deposit) and if I like it the PCX will be px'd. I ...

Re: How do I work out mpg?
I like to rev mine off the lights and an not soft handed but still get over 100mpg. I note that my longer journeys usually belting along at 50 plus gets me into 110 region. But that's on a 125

Re: Ground anchor problems? (tarmac/concrete)
Hi
Is the base of your house walls concrete, mine is and that's where I secured my anchor. Handy as it is off the ground making it harder to abuse

Re: Rapidly mounting costs of owning a PCX!
Still waiting updates as weekend staff not in at SC this morning. Downloaded exploded parts view PDF this morning and will definitely be looking for a service manual for the future. Found a few in the US so far and quite happy to get from there ... any UK comments about local sources for a service ...

Re: MC Endorsement
... I can't understand why anyone rides around on a CBT for any longer than it takes to get a full licence. Makes sense in London if the only reason you have a scooter is to beat the rush hour traffic, save a fortune on transport, you have a car for ventures beyond the city and have no desire for a...

Re: Idle Stop Accident
When I was researching the PCX last autumn, there was one on ebay where the owner had revved it in his gf's front garden and it went through their wooden fence smashing most of the panels.

Re: Naked again aka insurance rip off
Most insurers do not charge any admin fee for non performance related modifications. Most now state you may or will incur a fee for any change on the policy and the better of them detail those changes that can wait until renewal (some speeding codes for example). I was with Ford Insure for many yea...

Re: Naked again aka insurance rip off
Probably, not ever had bike insurance before so I went with them as the cost and benefits were reasonable although the excess was high. Hopefully next year I will have more reasonable options.Anfield800 wrote:What a rip off? Will you be taking your custom elsewhere when you renew?

Naked again aka insurance rip off
Well after enjoying my Givi windscreen (D322ST) for a couple of weeks, I remembered it was a mod so the insurance will need to be informed. MCE Insurance advised there was no increase in the £230 premium however the underwriters will require £68.17 to cover the admin :o . I laughed and told them I c...
