Farewell PCX
Saying farewell to the red PCX. It was a fun ride and miserly on gas but it's shortcomings resulted in it losing it's place in the garage. I used it mainly for commuting to work (16 mile round trip) and short jaunts around town for a little over a year but I missed touring on two wheels. While it's ...

2014 Honda Forza
Figures... I buy a PCX 150 and Honda releases a bigger version, the Forza with 297ccs. Had I known this would be released a year later, I would have waited. Looks like a bigger version of the little PCX and have the power for comfortable two-up riding around town and short bursts on the highway. I w...

Not really BS, ref: page 32, http://www.msf-usa.org/curriculummaterials/brc_handbook_vs71_noprint.pdf "Crash studies show that running off the road, usually in a curve, accounts for 37 percent* of total motorcycle fatalities. This is the primary situation in which motorcyclists have single vehi...

Kappa top cases???
So hopefully I'm under the correct assumption that the Kappa top cases are compatible with Givi mounts, Monolock in this case. So as long as the mount/case are both Monolock or both Monokey, they're compatible across Givi and Kappa. Correct me if I'm wrong here. That said, is anyone here using a Kap...

Me thinks matte gold powder coated wheels would look ace on the red or black scoots.

Re: New seat from "Powerbypcx.com
slickvic - do you lose any cargo capacity in the underseat storage with the new seat? Hard to tell from the pics.
The stock seat is shaped on the underside at the front to accomodate a helmet.

Re: PCX150 2013 Fuel consumption
All I know is that my scoot is cheaper to ride (gas-wise) than my F650 - 45mpg- and way, way cheaper than driving my truck - 17mpg
Riding to work I get about two weeks out of a tank and with a fill up costing less than $5, I'm a happy camper.

Re: Bike security - Locks?
I've only been in my current city for a few months and I've noticed that around the university and the hospital that the scooters are parked close to building entrances and not in a parking lot/garage. Usually with the bicycles and most of those are small 50cc scooters and about half of them have a ...

Bike security - Locks?
So recently, I've been seeing news reports of smaller scooters being stolen. Mostly 50cc scoots that can easily man-handled by two people into a waiting van or truck. The PCX is a bit larger and heavier so I think it'd be less of a target for thieves or maybe I'm wrong. The ignition shroud is a thef...

Re: Castelli Winter riding gloves
I have similar gloves from Performance and Voler that I sometimes use on my scoot/mowersickle. In fact, I often use some of my cycling gear when I go motorized. Granted, you're not gonna get the protection of a full leather glove that you'll need in a much higher velocity get-off on a motorbike.

Re: Emergency toolkit
Cell phone and debit card.
I carry a much larger and comprehensive tool kit on my mowersickle. The scoot is only the basics but that Slime flat tire kit looks interesting. Looks small enough.

Re: finding led brake bulb
I have an LED brake light replacement on my F650 that flashes before going solid. Can't remember the manufacturer at the moment but it would be nice if there was something similar for the lil' PCX.
