Re: MSF Basic Rider Course
You are now required to take the MSF coarse in Florida...the DMV test is taken at the school and all you have to do at DMV is pick up your new lisence with the motorcylcle endorsement on it, the school takes care of the rest. It runs about $200 on average. They don't give motorcycle learners permit...

Re: ? for PCX150 owners
Your city is only 14ft above sea level??? Kind of. Here are the details: Stockton elevation is 0 - 32 feet above sea level. The average elevation is 15 feet above sea level. The elevation at City Hall is 11.5 feet above sea level. I live at the eastern edge of the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta...

Re: MPG Question
Do any of you carry extra gas in case gas stations are not available on longer trips. Don't know if this practice is even safe or legal. It's OK to just call me a dummy for not knowing this or maybe it's just my bad planning if I run out of gas. Also, how do you all secure your scooters when you pa...

Re: ? for PCX150 owners
I can hit 65 mph now, if I tuck in a little bit behind my new windshield. It seems I am about 5 mph slower than most PCX150 owners. I think it is my altitude (4000'). It's not that high, but I think it makes a difference in power. I am at Sea Level (official city elevation is 14 feet, but most of t...

I also could only get my toes down at a stop, but when I was on gravel, dirt, steep uphill or downhill slopes, or any other kind of unstable road surface I had way too much trouble holding the bike up, especially if I had to move it or turn it around, so I got my original seat redone to lower the s...

Re: Question about top case
We were thinking about getting a top case (trunk) for the PCX, but have never seen one in person. It would be nice to have something that could be unlocked easily and removed -- can the Givi or Honda rack mounted top case be removed from the rack easily by unlocking it? Or is it bolted down? Thanks...

Extremely reputable. I have been buying stuff from them for over 10 years now for various bikes and have never had a problem.cessna151 wrote:Has anyone ordered from twistedthrottle.com and are they reputable?

Dinamasu's Red 2013 PCX
Just picked it up yesterday and picked up the Top Box today. Nothing special. So far the only thing that I have ordered is a handlebar clock. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v457/VSP/PCX150%20-%20March%202013/PCX-01_zps4a08b7b0.jpg When you have a 26 inch inseam (on the good leg) and a shortened l...

Re: Want a PCX but prices are crazy around here
The problem is that they are the only game in town. Then getting dealers in CA even to allow you to take it without paying reg fees is very hard. So you'd lose that money completely, and have to pay reg fees again in NV.. The only way that the State of California will allow a dealer to sell out of ...

Re: How long you been riding?
Bought my first scooter at age 16. It was an older Cushman Super Eagle. That was in 1960. Gave up two wheels from 1963 to 1999 when I retired from working. Then I bought a 1986 Honda Elite 80. It was at that time I learned that you needed a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license. In the &quo...

I just sold my BMW R1100R to make room in my garage for my 2013 red PCX150 which I wont pick up until next week. I still have my 2007 BMW F650GS and my 2005 Moto Guzzi Nevada Classic. Three years ago I sold my 1983 Honda C70 Passport because I found that I was not riding my bicycle which I need to d...

Re: Trouble filling up PCX
I have an issue filling up the gas on my Honda PCX - mainly the gas nozzle doesn't go all the way in. The metal bar in the fuel tank opening blocks it, and gas doesn't come out until its deep enough. So how can I fill up the gas? Can anyone help me? Thanks ! In California ALL of the gas pumps have ...

Re: Seat uncovered
Post Re: Seat uncovered My seat is back from the upholstery shop, the cost for that was $180. This was for new custom molded foam and new vinyl covering. The seat-to-ground height is now about 27 1/4 inches. The part where I sit is now wider and much more comfortable than the way it was originally....
