Confused about Yuminashi Big Bore Fueling

Hi,

I'm a month or so in commuting with my new 125 and am finding it a bit lacking in power.

I have a particularly hilly route so have some lighter rollers on order but today I found myself looking enviously at the yuminashi big bore kits.

Now, I have fitted big bore kits to 2 strokes before so am familiar with rejetting to suit, but the PCX having EFI has me a bit confused;

On the Yumishai kit they all seem to suggest/require fitting a larger fuel injector which is fair enough but what is the score with the ECU - does it need reprogrammed to suit, or is it simply a case of fit the larger injector with the standard ECU and fuelling will be near enough correct?

The kits I am looking at are the 150cc kit for about £100 ex the larger injector at £40 and the 150 head at £162 (making it around £300 for the whole lot);

You might search 'Chicaboos BBK kit' on here, and there are other threads too. Much discourse has been spent on the subject and is ongoing as we speak.

BTW, webike has several kits for the PCX 125 by Takegawa, endurance, and a full on affair by madmax. All worth a look before pulling the trigger.

Just buy whole set from yuminashi. You're gonna buy all the parts at some point anyway but you just don't know it yet. You won't save much by buying different parts from different places and trying to make them fit. Yuminashi sells rebranded honda parts but makes them fit and just plug and play.

This^^^ I stuffed around for ages trying to get an older CBR TB to work, but Yuminashi do all the work for you.

I suggest getting a 164cc kit of some flavour. It's up to you if you're prepared to spend up on the TB and cam.
The 125cc ECU/ECM can accommodate mods very well, and a fuel controller isn't necessary based on what I've seen.

A fuel controller CAN be skipped if you're coming from a 125. It's still ideal to buy the controller and have it dyno tuned if you want to eek out the best performance. But you can get by without the controller, as long as you are staying on their course.
You MUST get a fuel controller if you're coming from a 150. Must be dyno tuned.
