Has the new damper continued to hold the seat up? Is it a simple(?) replacement for the original? Seem I recall reading somewhere that Honda has a replacement damper but that other parts are needed to use it. ??? ThanksDioTiAma wrote:Good morning. The first opener dumper, 83590-K04-931, had a force of 500N. The new one, 83590-K04-932, has a force of 720N. How that's not a fix gentlemen? But, on the other hand, i was doing what GN2 proposed since day two (on the first i was extra careful). Common sense. Sadle is closing only when parked on the side stand (double force for the opener dumper since is on the left), uphill and with head wind.
Has anyone had their Forza seat fixed under warranty?

Yup!

Fourth post (or so) down. In fact, it holds up the seat at 20F even with my lighting installed under there, so all is great

On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Less expensive here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Five-Oceans- ... /436278332MBMyer wrote:My seat damper was replaced under warranty, and my experience matches that of others here. The new one still doesn't hold the seat up when it is cold out.
I installed a marine hatch spring to hold the thing up:

I replaced the original one (2014 Forza) with Honda's new part a year or two ago...seat now always stays up all the time!!! Makes the scoot much more enjoyable to use everyday.
