Re: Like these helmets?
Expected Jan. 2017 this new full face lid from Nolan, the N87. Getting very very good reviews from webbikeworld: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcyc ... 87-review/
Price ranges between $260 - $300.00. Lots of solid colors to be offered as well as mixed.
Here's a pic (white, of course ) I think this will be another winner for Nolan

The glare of the light near the back of the helmet makes is look like it just might be pearl white.

Hey WNThe New Nolan X-Lite, coming late March (as per mention in email I received today).
More here: http://xlite-usa.com
I just ordered a new HJC SyMax III. I'll post about the quality and fitment when I get it. . .
Just saw this thread on the Gear and Add-Ons zone.
FWIW I checked out the Nolan N91 Modular, Shoei Quest FF, and Bell Revolver Evo Modular online and at the end of the day I felt the best deal for me was the HJC SyMax III. It was on a close-out sale and at the reduced price and limited stock I bought it. Couldn't get the Hi Viz yellow. . .settled for Silver.

Cool, Yes do let us know how you like it.
Tell me please, do you have any local stores where you can try helmets on? How do you pick them online successfully without doing so? I confess I too have ordered helmets online but only after reading about them here: http://www.webbikeworld.com and watching reviews here: http://www.revzilla.com
I've gone to a few shops to try them on too. I realize stores can be great distances away, so I get it. Online shopping is a true blessing.

Re: Like these helmets?
All the motorcycle helmets I've ever bought (except one "off-brand" helmet which I ordered from a catalogue many years ago and did have to return due to it's quality and fitment) were at motorcycle shops. There are a lot of cheap helmets out there for sale but the devil is in the details and at the end of the day it pays to buy a brand name product and at a comfort level that works for you.Cool, Yes do let us know how you like it.

I've owned an HJC CL-5 open face since the late 1990's that fit me perfect (also have a Shoei FF) and at the time I know I paid less than $100 for it. The quality compared to my old Bell and Shoei helmets was good. So when I ordered my new SyMax III I ordered the same size as my CL-5. I also tape measured my head to make sure it coincided with the "sizing chart". So right now it seems a good bet that the new one should fit fine as well. . .same size. . .same manufacturer. . .good reviews. I'm not a gambler so I'll believe it when I see it so-to-speak and will post my review here next week. I know that the liner needs some time to break in. . .
If I was going to buy a different brand than any helmet I have or owned before I would definitely go to a motorcycle shop or motorcycle accessory shop and try before I buy.
When the first SyMax was released by HJC I bought one for my daughter. She had no complaints and her sister was able to use it as well and she had no complaints. That one didn't have the drop-down sunglasses but was good quality overall.
That's the story. . .basically try it before you buy it or if you think you have the inside track and can make an informed decision to throw the dice then that may work as well.
As an aside. . .helmets off and a salute for Don Rickles. . .may he rest in Peace.

Re: Like these helmets?
I bought a new Shark full face helmet on special just after Christmas and finally got around to attempting to transfer my Sena 20S headset from my old LS2 helmet which has cosmetic damage from my last little rest in the gutter. Bugger, it won't fit, there is absolutely no room for the speakers in the Shark.
The LS2 was a Large size, and a little loose, the Shark is a Medium and much better but snugger fit. What a pain, the Sena cost more than the new helmet, but it's now useless, and I can't afford another helmet. Now I'm not sure whether to keep using my old helmet or get rid of the Sena (only used tor the odd phone call and occasionally listening to music).

Re: Like these helmets?
I'm only guessing here because I don't use helmet mounted electronics but can you use velcro to mount the speakers in your helmet? Or is just too tight from side to side? Or is there any room anywhere in that helmet under the pads?bought a new Shark full face helmet on special just after Christmas and finally got around to attempting to transfer my Sena 20S headset from my old LS2 helmet which has cosmetic damage from my last little rest in the gutter. Check out this video that relates to a Shark Evo if you have a chance to see if there's anything that may help you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8ZrXc_q764
This guy talks about using "ear buds" in a Sena 20S https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zKE2UXihec
Is it true that you can plug ear buds into your unit?
Bose makes some noise canceling ear buds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA6qps2ospM
Hope any of this helps. . .

Re: Like these helmets?
Time ran out and I forgot to mention there are cheaper ear bud alternatives. . .the ones on the video on the previous post are $250 and perhaps not a solution for you.
If you are handy maybe these will do and save you some money. . .see video link below.

Hope somebody who has experience with these Bluetooth units can jump in and give you more help.

Re: Like these helmets?
Here are a few pics of my new HJC SyMax III Helmet. I just road about 40 miles with it on an Interstate plus regular roads and it is all that I expected it to be. It's well made and it fit true to size. No issues or problems. The vents work well, the chin bar opens easily (not too easily), the slide down sun shade lens works great (first setting of three works fine), and it even came with a Helmet bag. I find it remarkable that although new it still fits like my old CL-5 that I bought about 20 years ago.
Compared to my Shoei FF it's seems a little more round than egg shaped. . .more like a pumpkin. There is some wind noise but when you have good vents it's worth it on hot days. So for a $300 dollar range helmet I'm satisfied and would recommend. I was able to get it on sale and paid less actually.

Re: Like these helmets?
Good review and it looks nice too. Best part? It fits your noggin' snug yet remains comfortable. Bit of wind noise can be fixed with a good pair of ear plugs (w/or/wo music).

I appreciate your suggestions but unfortunately, not a snowflake's hope in hell of fitting the speakers in the helmet, the fit is way too snug. I will probably put the Sena up for sale.

Re: Like these helmets?
Sorry to hear that John. I thought maybe as a last resort the earbuds may have worked.
It's always something in this world. . .constantly win some and then lose some. Today I found out I've got to replace the radiator in my Honda Civic. It figures and right after I just spent a bunch of coin on a new helmet, vest, motorcycle tires, tools, and other stuff. Life is a trip. . .but better enjoyed on the PCX eh? Just got to give the Kangaroos a wide berth.

Looks like webbikeworld updated their website
Think I'll spend sometime there today catching up on all the do-hickies, gadgets, gear and such.
In the meantime, I leave you with this, their Helmet Menu Page:

I just replaced my Bell with this CABERG DUKE II LEGEND 98 BLACK/WHITE
https://www.caberg.it/en/helmets/flip-up/duke-ii
Here is the rating:
https://sharp.dft.gov.uk/helmets/caberg-duke/
Fits my noggin really well and the pinlock that comes with it is essential to stop fogging.
Great price and not as heavy as the old Bell Evo flip top thing I had.
