Matched set of Michelin or Pirelli tires

I'm due to replace my tires within a couple of months and have been following the discussions regarding non OEM replacements. I've noticed that Pirelli Diablo and Michelin City Grips seem to be the most frequently discussed as a good option. I've used Pirellis on another bike and was very pleased with the performance. I've been searching for a source for either model tire at supply web sites or even the two manufacturer web sites and have not been able to find the original spec. sizes on a matched set. My question is for those that are using these tires as a set did you find them in the specified size or did you use a different size in order to get a matched set? If you used a different size would you mind letting me know what size you used without any need for mods or adverse performance. Thanks for your input.

I have used mixed set of tires on the Forza with no real problems.

It is a relatively low performance SCOOTER with a primitive suspension.

I wore out the OEM ScootSmart rear and replaced it with a Michelin CityGrip 150/70-13.

The front finally got replaced with a 120/70-14 Michelin CityGrip at 21,000 km.

I wore out the rear and replaced it with another 150/70-13 CityGrip.

I wore that one out at 38,000 km (12,000 km on the tire).

I now have a Michelin 150/70-13 Power Pure SC dual compound rear tire at 44,000 km on the Forza (and counting).

I do a lot of rain riding and tires are never a problem but I ride cautiously according to the conditions.

These are the tyres available in the correct size for the rear and these are the tyres available in the correct size for the front.
As you can see, the Dunlop ScootSmart remains the only tyre available as a matched pair in the correct sizes for the Forza 300.

I can only talk about the market in Australia. When my Forza's tyres needed replacing at abut 5,000 km I COULD NOT BUY DUNLOP OEM TYRES, not even through Honda Aust. I chose Pirelli Diablos and after another 5,000+ km I'm reasonably happy. They are about 2/3 worn maybe a little less. They start out with a pronounced "Bee" shape and really take some getting used to. Most scooter tyres seem to have a more rounded profile. Grip has always been good. So clearly they grip and wear well - much better than the Dunlop OEMs.

Michelin tyres in sizes suitable for my scooter were not available in Australia at the time I needed replacements. They would have been my first choice.

I looked at Sava tyres and next time I will replace the Pirellis with these. They have a really good reputation in Europe.

In relation to size (front: 120/70-14 rear: 140/70-13) I could not find any brand that had these exact sizes. My Pirellis are 120/70 on the front but 140/60 (lower profile) on the rear. This makes the speedometer read a bit slow. The Sava MC28S (for "Maxi" scooters - 250+ cc) are 120/70 -14 55 front and either 140/60 -13 63 or 150/70 -13 64 rear. I will go for the latter, these are a little wider but I am assured they fit.

Thanks for the input. After a lot of searching I've found at least two places including amazon that now offer Pirelli Diablos in our size for front and rear. The rear tire was listed as a new item at a couple of sites. Amazon has it at $86, I'll probably go with a matched set of Pirellis.
