Add-on: Tachometer for PCX?

I saw some shops selling cheap tachometer for motorcycles here ($7).

I know it could be useful if your'e tuning your engine or experimenting with variators mods, etc..

But will it be useful for a stock scooter where we don't need to shift gears?

I'm just bored and thinking of something to do(or add) to the scoot. Also,Iv'e ordered a taller windshield and it might arrive tomorrow..

So would you guys attached a cheap Tacho on your PCx if your'e really bored? LOL

I would like to see what you get for $7. Probably the same one I have for 50 Koso mini is the one I have and yes it was very helpful with vario mods and I still watch the idle which is 1750 RPM if your engine is happy. You will have to remove the lower panel and snake it from the spark plug up through the column. No fancy mount on mine just a band to the bars. You can see it well and it's a fun accessory if you ask me.

The Koso looks better than that. If the one you show is only a tach then I would get the koso. See in my video.

Simple to install,just wrap its wire around your spark plug lead and it's done. It has its own battery.
