How much spare electricity does the 150 have?

I just realized I have a set of led lights off my old super tenere that would help the pcx a ton, but I'm not sure how much spare juice we have to work with? Ideas?

I believe that the alternator maxes out at 25 amps - not sure what the normal drain is anyway, nor how well it would tolerate being driven that hard all the time. Having said that, I wouldn't think LED lights would be a big current draw.

Perhaps measure what the LED light draw is and make a decision from there?

Your good to go, LED"s take very little power. Put them on.

I have these hooked up to my bike and they work fine. I didn't connect them to the rest of the circuitry because of their current draw, but rather I hooked them to the battery. I have an inline fuse and a switch on my handlebar. When I turn them on they are quite bright, and I haven't had any battery problems, so my guess is that they can work that way as long as the battery can be recharged.

Just be sure to check them from the front to make sure they're not sticking pins into the eyes of on-coming motorists at night. I'm reminded of one motorbike that passed me going the other way a while back - dude had wired a high-power strobe to the bike that flashed at about 2Hz. I appreciate his intention is to be seen for safety reasons, but pissing off 100% of people coming the other way just wasn't the way to help with that in my opinion (and that was during the day). It's a big problem we have here with people on push bikes and helmet-mounted lights - they blind everyone else.

Since the bike is in the basement right now and I am in the process of taking the panels off, I will readjust the lights. I THINK they are aimed correctly, but it is always good to do a recheck.
