BRRRRRRR.....

Post by Urbanian »

The first of October I ordered a Givi screen. Shortly I received an email saying they were backordered, and I would have to wait at least three weeks, but it could be longer; they didn’t know… So I cancelled the order and went elsewhere

Found Ermax +25 at “RED Racing Parts”. Their website promised free delivery world-wide in 8 – 16 days, or something like that. I ordered it. Waited three weeks. Nothing. I emailed RRP asking where my windscreen was. Nothing. I called the company that processed my VISA card. They contacted RRP who said they had contacted me and resolved my case. Huh?

Finally I got a response from RRP with an apology, but with no explanation, asking me to wait another 8 – 12 days before they ship, and an email generated from their contact with the credit card processor asking me to wait another 10 – 15 days.

Anyone else dealt with RED Racing Parts? Should I wait?

Where can I get a tall windscreen delivered to me here in the US before winter is over? It’s cold here!

I second the recommendation from same-same, they took about 2 weeks for me in the USA.

I haven't dealt with RED, but I'd file a dispute and get your money back at this point...

I have requested a refund. Supposing I actually get my money back, I will check back here and order as you suggest.

Thanks

i absolutely recommend staying away from internet shop 'SAME SAME'. they sent me my ermax +25 and forgot to include the trim kit.

i emailed them and heard nothing back. i emailed ermax and they said that same same had picked up the trim kit and would be sending it soon. 2 weeks later no trim kit, so i emailed ermax again. they mailed same same and CC ed me asking if they would please contact me about the status of my trim kit. several days later nothing so i emailed ermax again. several days later ermax emailed me that they themselves, ermax had sent me the trim kit since same same couldnt get it done.

Same Same are complete jerks and cant be trusted!

i knew i could get some trim and DIY, but the way they handled it i was constantly led to believe that the trim kit was in the mail. internet shop 'Same Same but Different' sucks! i had to threaten to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get them to finally send it!!!

i do love the ermax +25 though! i am 5ft 8in and it is much better than the givi screen, IMO.

I FINALLY got my refund for the windscreen RED Racing never sent. So now I’m shopping again. There seems to be a lot of complaints against Same Same, but most of them appear to have ultimately resolved. So with some trepidation I tried to order from them. No go. They say my address doesn’t exist. I changed the way the address is written while still using the same number and names, but it didn’t work. They say I don’t live here. Argh.

Is anybody anywhere willing to sell me a tall screen????? It’s COLD here!!!!
