Cruise control
Just letting you guys know that the vista cruise control is a must have for your forza. Cheap, easy install and functions well. I love mine about 33 bucks on ebay.

Re: Cruise control
It just mechanically locks the accelerator hand control to a certain position, right? How does that work in conjunction with emergcency braking or just having to slow down suddenly for road conditions i.e. off accelerator and start braking. Looks like you have to release it then worry about braking - not sure how that would work where you have a very short time to respond.

Re: Cruise control
All these locks just create enuf tension to hold it open, it is easily overridden by rolling the throttle, back. Of course you can be an idiot and install with too much tension but....
I’ve used them for years, no prob....that being said, my pcx is for around town, this mod is not heeded on my pcx, but would use on my CTX.....

Re: Cruise control
On an old cb500 I used to do loads of motorway riding and when I wanted to I just put a rubber o ring between the throttle and bar stop. It held the throttle in whatever position you wanted so you could ease your wrists. £1.50 part that you can install or uninstall whenever you liked.

Hell even a condom might work if you can find the right size.Slowinitdown wrote:On an old cb500 I used to do loads of motorway riding and when I wanted to I just put a rubber o ring between the throttle and bar stop. Re: Cruise control
Vegas to SD ... sounds like a neat ride !! Do you ever take a route thru the Mojave? I drove a car from the Grand Canyon to SD - used Rt66 as much as possible, loved it, had a blast around that old airbase near Kingman and then further south in Oatman, wished I was doing it on a bike.its not meant for in town obviously, i use mine when i travel from vegas to san diego. I think I had a similar control on an older MC that I once had ..... I could adjust the tension so that it would hold a set, but any wrist movement could override that. And it had a similar "on - off" flipper switch that I see on yours. Can't you tighten the tension any more so you can maybe relax your wrist?

Re: Cruise control
This looks a whole lot easier than the mods I went through to get the Vista Cruise throttle lock to work:
