Ive got a 2 year warranty on mine and have an arrangement with my local garage who are not the official honda dealers but who can still stamp the service book. and charge half the price of the honda dealer. And they change oil every service not every other, at my request.

Sounds like a very good arrangement.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

They can stamp the book. For a warranty however you should make arrangement with Honda. Will they respect your stamps? Local garage is not the one giving you warranty, but Honda.
